I have a question, because any answer I can come up with is devoid of logic.


WHY is HL2RP as stale and boring as it is? Why do we demote admins and leave routine stuff like D6 sweeps or semi-large decisions up to Roflwaffle? Why are units reprimanded for not patrolling in a circle whenever they are inside the Nexus? Why do we seem to throttle all attempts at decent roleplay?

Literally nothing happens ever. The ONLY reason anyone plays here is because of the volume of players or because they don't know that there are smaller but much richer servers. There are no real attempts to actually provide citizen roleplay (Oh the CWU, with like 5 members, 2 of whom are active), no real attempts to provide CCA roleplay rather than CCA ascend-to-the-top RPG 2012 edition and there is nothing to provide a decent roleplay environment.

So many people on the server are poor roleplayers or they are minges, and who can blame them, because there isn't anything to do or anyone to practice on. It seems many CCA units feel that making citizens face the wall and /me puts hands behind back is the foundation of entertaining roleplay. I mean, Ration Distribution underlines this...we put it on a cycle because people seem to think that leaving a machine free to all would "take away roleplay."

Roleplay...you mean standing in a line facing forward and saying nothing until you walk through a door, state your name and CID in a line or two and then pick up an item and fuck off before you get detained for hanging around.

Roleplay is stale. I don't see why. Someone please explain why.

@Statua: On the point of CG's canon...CG's canon consists of "the kids died" and "combine invasion was two years ago". I've literally heard of no other backstory except that we're in wherever we are...Romania?

And when was the last time we had an event? It's been a while...lets have one...Oh hey wait, admins seem to get demoted every damn time we have an event so lets scrap that.

Because it is hard to read, harder to access quickly, serves no fucking useful purpose, is not "more efficient", what a stupid thing to say, is ugly and crammed

Oh and, this just in, no one cares about the forums below the Garry's Mod forums.

If you disagree, please feel free to post. Unless, of course, you just want to be on the owner's side because fuck your dignity you want admin and I am in fact "A whiney bitch deal with it"

EDIT: Very good point from Nicknero too, that you can no longer see the latest post from each board for an interest. Very annoying.

They look styled in American fashion. I'm thinking specifically a big city, maybe Chicago or even New York. They look utilitarian (Which is how most American buildings are built) but don't quite look flat enough to be Eastern Bloc.

Pretty sure he removed the apartments because they were created in shite fashion from the beginning, rather than the style being inherently broken...meaning you could remake them. The current apartments look American.

Oh god don't remove the training facilities, we'll end up with crap constructions consisting of 100+ props and then we'll be told to stack and the server will crash, assuming the RSO doesn't get us first.

Definitely agree with Statua on the HAP though.

Jeez I won't do it again it's not like I'm not one of the best roleplayers who actually plays there it just gets so fucking boring when no one else wants to roleplay or, specifically in the CCA, I can't roleplay my character because every unit thinks they're in the paramilitary and the slightest non-robotic movement warrants snitching and OWR.
