I would host one but only got a few days left on my VPS and I cant be asked to pay for it :C

tl;dr yes please.

If I can get 7 dollars/5 quid on paypal by the 26th I can host one I guess, don't have any of my own money currently

A IRC would be awesome tbh compared to the messy chatbox, would be nice to have something hosted from CG though...

I'll set one up.
Hosting IRC servers is useless, and coming from me, that is saying something.
Gamesurge should be a reliable way to go about this.

I tried to get #catalyst on gamesurge, unfortunately it's taken.
Would you guys be okay with #catalystgaming?

It has to be accepted, I'll request #catalystgaming for now, but I'm not going to give up on #catalyst. I don't see anyone in there, after 2 weeks we'll see if it gets de-registered.
