The TnB models are not able to use animation or wear the clothing sold by the CWU. Just going to put that out there, I'm not against them I would actually love to see TnB models.

Drew Cotton's Metropolice Force Application

1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Metropolice Force and what lead your character to do so.
   Drew in spite of his abilities and aspirations, were essentially put on hold due to the invasion and seven-hour war. He was never able to achieve the goals he had set for himself and hopes to feel the sense of accomplishment that he was striving for by joining the Combine Civil Authority.

   He wishes to join for the same reasons he wanted to join the military. A sense of purpose, he needs to feel needed. Drew has a strong desire to help others and doesn't wish to do so by repeating the same mundane tasks day after day.

   In the wake of the Seven-Hour War, he found distress and worry in the streets of City18 as well as other cities which he has resided in. It was very hard for Drew to bear witness to this. He felt as if his life lacked purpose. Almost as if he was just waiting to die. He soon realized that by joining the Combine Civil Authority would, in a sense, relieve him of these stresses. When he completed the application he felt almost a sense of euphoria, knowing somewhere deep down that he is doing the right thing.

2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)
Diligent - When Drew has a goal that he wishes to accomplish he is determined, motivated and will stop at nothing achieve it.

Intelligent - Drew Had been attending college hoping to receive a bachelors degree. He had planned on joining a ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) Program but the invasions and subsequent wars hit and he didn't have a chance.

Dependable - If you give Drew a Task you can count on him to get it done and get it done right. He has a strong sense of Integrity, some would claim he is a perfectionist.

Apprehensive - He is very observant of his surroundings. He is quick to react when the time arises.


3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.
For me:
   I expect it to be a very divergent interpretation from my last experience here at Catalyst Gaming. It seems more well managed than the last time i enjoyed role-playing here. I expect the immersion into the role-playing to be very different, I also expect it to be a far greater and enjoyable challenge.

For Drew:
   Drew expects the Combine Civil Authority to parallel his expectations for the military. A strict regime complemented with intensive training, accompanied with an irresistible brotherhood and sense of loyalty between the units.

4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.
   Drew Cotton, born March 2, 1991, was son to Michael Cotton. Michael Cotton was a General in the United States Marine Core. Drew had been  raised under a strict regime of exercise and becoming competent in his study's. Stranger to pleasure he received his enjoyment in making his father proud of him. If he wasn't the best at something he did everything possible to recondition his abilities so that he was the best. He graduated High School valedictorian and was off to college as soon as possible.

   He was days from receiving his bachelors degree and had already set up an appointment for enrollment into a ROTC program when the Combine invaded and the Seven-Hour War began. He was in school when it happened. Drew found himself in city's not very different from prisons. He didn't know how to handle this. Frequently transferred from city to city, he eventually ended up in city18. Unknowingly this would be where drew would find his true purpose in life.

   Drew had always dreamed of following in his fathers footsteps. He had set no other goals in his life. Drew was devastated. He went through a great bout of depression when he arrived at City 18. The fact that he doesn't know what has happened to his family destroyed him emotionally. He felt it was safe to assume that they were dead. If not physically, then spiritually, emotionally. Mere shells of there former selves living out their days waiting for the sweet embrace of death to save them from their pitiful lives. Meditating on the depressing predicament he was in, becoming more or less a sociopath he longed for purpose in his life. He wanted to make a difference and in some way shape or form achieve the goals he set for himself long ago. Drew realized he could do this by applying for the Metropolice Force.

Yes, I may have removed it myself or it may have been removed due to inactivity. I can't quite recall why as it was years ago.

looks help but when you really get to know someone looks dont matter.
i would rather be with a alright looking chick that i can talk to for hours and have a good time with than be with a smokin hot chick that i have nothing in co min with other than a love for sex.

idk if anybody else is getting this glitch but sometime after i move from sitting or leaning to try and get up my character will stay in the lean/sit position and move around in the thirdperson view . it will do this for 5 seconds then snap back to first person and everything will be normal. it seems to be client-sided so it could be only me. idk

    Drew Cotton went through a lot before and after the seven hour war. He wants to make a difference really bad.  He works vigorously to better his reputation as a Citizen. Drew has been through many situations such as getting told off about his loyalist activities by other citizens. Drew looks up to the Combine. He believes they are doing the right thing and wants to join their ranks and help with anything he possibly can.

    While going through his normal life, doing good deed's, he would occasionaly get compliments from officers. These words of kindness and motivation would not only make his day and make him work harder on whatever he was doing but it also fired up his ambition to one day join the Civil Combine Authority. With his hard working attitude and positive perspective on life he does his part for what he cares for, the welfare of the people. Knowing that being a good citizen comes with no special treatment or extra perks still dosent change his attitude about being one and Drew proudly announces his status as a good citizen

    Even though Drew generally wants to join the Combine Civil Authority to help others, Drew also wants the benefits of being an officer of City 45. He wants good food, a nice place to sleep, and the authority role he would be given.  Recently, he has began to think about what it would be like to be in a military-esque group. In these days, the only military-esque group a person can find is the Combine Civil Authority.

    Strict, disciplined, fast to respond and quick to finish. Drew is very trustworthy, once he swares his loyaltiy he keeps to his word. Drew is a very fast learner and a excellent listener. He is quick on his feet and never hesitates.

3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.
   
    Regular training coupled with tight organization and good teamwork. Adjusting to such a life will be the biggest leap of all with failure leading to harsh punishment. A lot will be expected by superiors and many things will have to be taught. Drew expects every move will be scrutinized, but completion of training and successful operations with good teamwork will yield reward and a sense of accomplishment that he seeks. He's hopeful comrades will be made and knowledge gained along with the opportunity to specialize in certain fields. Drew understands, however, there are also the dangers and moments will come where death can arrive or be avoided at the split of a hair. Finally, he expects to return the same help Units have shown him back to the citizen themselves.

   For me, this will be my first time as a CCA, which would be very important to me. I will listen very carefully to orders and rules, as I want to make sure I do my best as one. Joining the CCA will help me by furthering the development of my character and by greatly improving my role-play skills. Overall I think it will still be a great experience developing my character further, I want to take time getting promoted and very deeply develop this character and have fun. That is the whole idea after all isnt it?

1994 - 2012
    Drew Cotton was born unplanned in a car on March 2, 1994. Drew had a childhood that could only be described as normal. He spent his pre-elementary years reading children's books, and mainly keeping to his own doings. He didn't get out much with others, and when he did, he wasn't a fan among them. One day in the 12th grade he came home to see his parents lying down on their bed...dead as a doornail, with blood surrounding their corpses. He alerted the authorities.  They explained to him, after a thorough investigation, that someone came into the room while they were sleeping and shot them both in the head. The Authorities told him they would do everything in their power to catch the murderer. Sadly he was never caught. Drew was devastated by their loss and decided that he wanted to pursue a life against crime. Drew hopped from home to home until he graduated high-school.

2012 - 2015
    When Drew turned 18 he married his high-school sweet heart named Emma. They had a child named Brian. Drew was in college studying to become a cop, paying for his study's with the money he got from his parents deaths. He finished his study's and passed with flying colors. He was on his way to the police station when he was picked up by the S.W.A.T. teams that were evacuating the city.
    They wouldn't tell him what was happening or why they were evacuating they city, he got the impression that they didn't even know themselves. They took him to a evacuation shelter just outside of the city, nobody there knew what was happening Either. He was hungry, alone, and missed Emma and Brian. Upon the arrival of the seven hour war, a black portal-like hole gaped overhead.  Strange, metal-plated creatures swooped out of it, and began to destroy the city. He found a hole in the fence of the shelter and ran. He ran until he couldn't run anymore. Drew survived for about 4 hours until a tall, bulky figure knocked him unconscious with the butt of a rifle.
 
2016 - Present
      His memory is blank after that, he only remembers waking up in a large city that looked nothing like his home.  He later found out what was happening, the cities were being rebuilt and life was very harsh. Months passed, as the citadel rose in City 17, a man named Doctor Breen was giving out speeches every day. There was a police force established, Combine Civil Authority. Rations slowly destroyed what was left of his memory and body. He was seeing people beaten for no reason, slowly he forgot about his past life, but not everything. He was then relocated to City 14, life was the same as anywhere else. He was afraid of Civil Authority units and would stay out of their way. He was then relocated to City 45, but this time he stayed there. He started to realize that joining the Civil Authority is his only chance to live. He thought about writing an application, days and nights, then he finally decided to give it a chance. He now awaits the response.

    I was playing on the Outlands server back when it was on the outer canals map. I had just logged into the server and I heard a helicopter. I thought to myself "that's odd," but just ignored it and went about scavenging. Then all off a sudden the helicopter came into sight and started dropping bombs on my head. The citizens spent a good 20 - 30 min hiding in the bunkers. The unlucky ones were stuck inside the canals hiding in the big red crates or the small white cement hollow cylinders. Not many of them made it sadly.

What has caused your character to require these authorizations?

(Citizens of City 18 who choose to escape to Black Mesa East, a very large resistance base, have a very hard time getting there. The only known path is through City 18's canal system, which is subject to frequent raids by the Civil Protection force, hoping to capture or kill any unfortunate refugees, as well as Xen wildlife such as Barnacles, headcrabs, and zombies. This is how the Resistance Underground Railroad was formed.
Resistance members created the Underground, a series of safehouses that help Resistance soldiers and Citizens escape to Black Mesa East, using coordinated safehouses and radios, and an Airboat to lend to refugees.

Possessing no means to mass manufacture weapons, the Resistance doesn't have standard issue weapons like the Combine forces do. They generally scavenge weapons from the Combine, either through killing them or finding them elsewhere. The Resistance makes use of any resources they can find, often building things out of scrapped parts and making specialized equipment, such as the Crossbow and Gravity Gun, and vehicles, such as the Scout Car, the Airboat and the Muscle Car by hand.)

Dimitri was born in Russia. He was born to a loving mother and father. That is untill the combine took over the Earth. During the take over Dimitri's parents were killed and he was left on his own. Knowing he could sit there and mourn his parents death, he sucked it up. He chose to survive, he made it his life's mission to fight the hostile combine take-over and exact his revenge. During his travels (excaping the combine, running, surviving.) He met a man. The man would not tell him his name. But he wore a Backpack, a hat, and had a armband with some strange symbol on it.

After the man gave him some food, water, and a place to stay Dimitri asked the man who he was. He said "We am salvation."
Dimitri asked "We? who is We?" The man told him one thing "The Resistance"
Dimitri started to follow the man everywhere he went. He eventually found a pistol, learned how to use it and helped the man kill things. Such as Zombies and Antlions. Unknowing of where they were headed Dimitri followed. Eventually Dimitri Found himself In a Odd town.
It seamed to have a system of canals. Combine activity was more active than the ushuall patrol or watch tower. There were Helicopters that  flew over at least once a day. Dimitri could hear the high pitch screach of a hunter in the distance, Followed by a womans scream.
Dimitri asked the man, "where are we?" The man said "we are at a very dark place, infested with combine.
"Why are we here?" Asked dimitri
"We are here to lead other people to salvation. Do you see those building over there?"
"Yes" Said Dimitri.
"That is a city. City18" Says the man "That city is oppressed by the combine terribly, But it has one this all the other citys dont have."
"What is that?" Asked Dimitri
"A Way Out."
The canals served the way in and out of the city. and the combine knew about it. They set up grates and fences, but the Resistance always found a way through them.

For about a month, Dimitri and the Rebel helped the citizens of City18 Out of the city, leading them to safety.
But the combine started to catch on to the operation. They started sending out helicopters out more often. They started to patrol more.
Then one day Dimitri and the Rebel were walking through the canal. Something seemed strange. Not like the usual strange. Not like the usual fear of being caught. Dimitri had the erie sense that they were being watched. "I got a bad feeling about this" Dimitri said.
"Dont worry we will be fine." the man said. Dimitri sees something out of the corner of his eye. a shadow. but when he looks thers nothing there.
 Just then at that moment, just as dimitri looked away he hears a deep voice, it sounded as if, Inhuman.
"FREEZ"
Dimitri looked in front of him only to see two combine soldiers standing there with AR2's
"Isolate" The combine said.
We did'nt do anything, there was a moment of silence. Both the combine looked at eachother.
At the very moment The man pulled his MP7 to his shoulder and stated to fire. he managed to kill one combine, but the other one was quick.
The other combine (already having his bigger more high tech AR2 had his weapon already ready to fire) Shot the man.
The Two men Exchanged bullets then fell to the ground. DImitri could hear the combine making gargiling sounds, as if he was choking on his blood. He took his pistol and shot him in the head.

Dimitri ran over to the man sat down and held his head in His lap. He was still breathing barely.
"Dimitri. I'm not going to make it"
"No, no you have to make it. I don't know what to do without you."
"You know what to do dimitri, you have followed me for years. You are ready to be on your own, Take my uniform carry out the operation. See to it that the combine heart no one else"
"OK but tell me one thing."
"What it that Dimitri?"
"Tell me your name"
"Its" The man clenches his face as if he is in a lot of pain. "My name i-"
The man breathes for a moment
"my name is Ivan Shakmarov" At this moment Ivan looks twords the sky, Cracks a half smile and passes on.
Dimitri Takes Ivans Resitance uniform and One of the combines AR2's along with the other Combines ammo. Then gives Ivan a proper burial.
