The transfer to Gmod13

I have a simple question, and it may or may not be stupid, but I'd rather find out now then when we actually do the switch-

Will all the items on our characters be kept, and the characters themselves, or are our characters and their items forever lost?

The database will be fine and have all your items / chars / etc,  that has been answered before but yes

I'd like to ask another question:
Will we stay with the Outdated HL2RP mod, or we will switch back to the new one?
Answer is kinda obvious because of the HDD crash, but I just want to make sure.
