Have fun being in training for 10 months since you picked 3D1X2. Hell even combat controllers only have to been in training for 5 months.
At least you weren't fooled into going for maintenance.
Most of my flight in BMT was maintance and I always laughed how much hours there gunna work for the same pay as me. Its like 7 months of training and combat controllers might have a shorter tech school but its 5 months of hell.

Ya I have finished Air Force BMT at Lackland AFB and now at Keesler AFB studying Cyber Transport Systems and don't regret the decision at all, in fact the best decision I ever made in my life. If you got questions about the Air Force, BMT, or Keesler AFB feel free to contact me. I can also give you tips on what jobs to go for and to not go for after talking to a lot of people.

Renegade awe--  ;)

Nah, I don't really know of anyone in the military who is at CG, the job doesn't really appeal to me as it would involve getting shot at or living in the ass end of some desert at least.
The job doesn't require getting shot at. Only around 5000 marines/other militart  have died during the middle eastern war, that's a very small number. Your chances of death is much higher than a marine because you simply drive/ride a car.

I'm leaving for the navy next year. Going for hospital corpsman. Still thinking of becoming a seal corpsman, but idk yet. Got a friend in AF security forces and on going for combat control next month.
Not to shit on your dreams Jonco, but if you want to become a SEAL you better quit CG and start getting active now. Any SO jobs require a very high willpower and physical strength, most people don't fail because of physical strength they fail because they don't have the willpower which is something that can only be trained by challenging yourself everyday and staying consistent.

This is not a huge deal. Challenge being female or male still helped a lot of people out and was a great administrator. Challenge doesn't owe an apology to any of you.

Ya so I'm leaving very soon to go to basic training for the air force, doing a six year contract as a cyber transport specialist (fancy for networking). Anyone else in the service? How easy is it to continue my PC gaming life?

This is really the choice of the players. If you want a populated outlands server then be more open about your roleplay. If you don't want it populated a lot then simply isolate yourself. If people feel that have connections on the server and friends to RP with they will join and RP. If they feel they will join and just end up being on the sidelines then they will leave, it's simply as that.

Some characters don't openly converse, and you can't force that on someone. I agree more people should start including people in their RP if they're clearly trying to start RP or are new, but you can't try and force that onto people, because some characters just aren't like that for various reasons (incredibly shy, busy with other stuff, just a dick char IC) - of course you can still RP with them, but you can't just say "ok everyone has to rp with people now".
I understand that but what I'm more trying to say is pretty much RP with people when you can and have conversations, dont isolate yourself all the time. Shy people still talk, busy people usually aren't busy on outlands, and there aren't to many dick characters.

I know I've started a lot of threads recently but I have a lot on my mind I need to post.

I've noticed something that a lot of people do and that's simply ignoring new people or people without much importance to you. A new player want's to get in on the RP, they are there to RP, they won't want to sit on the sidelines and watch, they want to get there hands dirty. Outlands will die if we don't give new players or even generally anybody a chance to RP with us. If a guy comes up to you and saids "Hey", he wants to start RP and strike up a conversation. Don't fucking walk off like your to good or have better things to do(because most of the time you dont), I see this in players with vests all the fucking time or people who thing there "above" others. Keep in mind, I have a vest and all this cool shit that makes me look bamf, I do this sometimes to players but recently I have tried to include people I know nothing about. The moral of the story, don't lock yourself up in your little base all the time and ignore everyone.  I'm speaking to the players here who have been on outlands for over a year esspcially, let's get outlands on its feet and let's really create some RP with newer players and create new interactions. I don't give a fuck if you a super fucking lolwebel spy faggot, include people and talk to people because it's that fucking simple.

Can you whitelist all of the monorail props? It would be under props_phx/trains/monorail

Outside City 45 / Re: Lack of danger & hostility
« on: January 29, 2013, 12:32:45 AM »
I'm going to summarize this thread and add my opinion.

OTA:
Citizens of outlands are the jews and the OTA are German solders searching for you, this should be how people interact with any combine. I have to admit that my character Frank has made a few mistakes and lolattacked the combine, I'll make sure this stops and encourage others to follow the path of the jews.

NPC's: NPC's can be used sometimes but should always should be supervised by an admin. Zombies do walk around pretty slow and are very avoidable so I think unsupervised zombie NPC's in the tunnel's wouldn't be an issue.

"evil/grey" characters: People should make characters that sin like every human does. Frank Dorco, my main, has a huge drinking problem which causes trouble for some people.

I guess this is more of an encouragement for players to create evil characters and create some balance to the ussual "white knight" characters.

I'm kindv'e sad that there's not more shit to deal with on outlands like a relentless bandit group moving thru ineu pass or  some other shit, I think the administration should ask trusted people to create characters to purposely create the dangerous outlands the outlands should be. When anyone played HL2 did they notice much peace in the outlands? Outlands need's more danger, simple.
