I was thinking, maybe make it so that everyone gets a Dodge? And then gold members get a police lambo? I don't really see many police cars like the Vaper any more where I live. It would be cool. More modern.

Where do you live? I live in Illinois, and just about every cop car I see are the ones that normal players use... I say no to this, it would be cool yes, but practical and realistic, no.

The dodge has very bad handling in OCRP anyway. Most cops still drive older cars, and a police lambo would be ridiculous.

Would be kind of cool if they got a truck though, or an SUV? More of a road block and or control vehicle?

I think it would be cool to have a selection of law enforcement vehicles. Maybe make anything but the Viper be gold only?

I am wondering, like I said about the SUV, the three are put in, the charger stays gold, the SUV can only be baught in numbers from the mayor, kind of like ammo, the other is the same.

OCRP2 is not based in Dubai :/
I'd be fine with an SUV and/or any other sort of common American police vehicles though.

I support an SUV. Perhaps improving the dodges handling to not be a bitch all the time would be nice too.

What i would like first is for the driving mechanics of the dodge and viper to be fixed... It is ridiculos... Going 40mph it feels like you are driving on ice... and when you try and drif turn you end up going into a spin... i prefered the driving mechanics from OCRP 1.5, it actualy felt that your car had grip to the road...

+support for a police SUV maybe even a police mobile command post (Police RV type vehicle)? It would be cool to see a "undercover" car which could be the crown vic but instead of a police skin have it as gray (or another similar color) with hidden lights and siren. Then maybe for the SWAT have a white civilian utility van with no lights or sirens and the trade off is that it would not be almost indestructible like the actual SWAT van.

I'm not really into the lambo thing since getting away from the police would be a lot harder than it is already.
But the SUV does seem really nice it doesn't seem to over powered and can be used more as a vehicle you'd use in certain types of situations.

Honestly, I'd just love to see a car heavy enough, that isn't he SWAT van, which is effective at blocking a single lane of traffic.

Or engaging heavier vehicles like SUV's and Vans.

I think adding a hummer to police force would be a good idea for road blocks. It's what the cops in GTA IV use anyways.

OCRP is based around Rl, not GTA.

Maybe the SUV or Undercover car could be exclusive to the police cheif.

I'm quite 'interested' in above. Pretty vehicle, but it's only because of the looks that I support it really.
I do also think the undercover agents should have the ability to receive a standard kind of vehicle that can be said to have 'bulletproof' glass to protect the mayor. Not sure why the standard vehicle for the secret service was removed as it was in the changelog originally.

I'd rather see this escallade skin as it has the ram on the front and the textures are a lot sharper.
Its a bodygroup too so install should be simple no?

I really like the idea of an added SUV such as an suburban, escalade, or what ever other model is suggested. As far as realism goes, it'd be cool to find one with a push bar (like the escalade Oz suggested). However, as stated, it needs to be limited- perhaps to the police chief- which seems like an effective way to keep it controlled. Maybe make it available to the first two level 3 (or whatever is an appropriate level) cops who ask the NPC for it.

Agreed Kronic. Lambo would be unreal because of how expensive it would be and no Police Department in the world would waste their money with them. Especially since they would get damaged. And I am a gold member, but I never use the dodge unless I am out of fuel for the other. And now that police get free gas I don't have to worry about that any more. Dodge sucks, handling and speed, now I know that people like to drift and not to drift and if a car doesn't people say it sucks, they just have a different style is all. But the Dodge just cannot perform like most vehicles in the game, the only thing I like about it is the look.
HOWEVER, this just inspired an idea and I will be making a new suggestion thread about it called Dodge lvl4-5 cop.

I can't see the links properly due to phone but I love the idea. If the cars already have the skin and oz is willing to tweak yet another script I can totally see this being done. When I get hone I'll look into it some more.

If you guys know how to do the bodygroups, I would really love to see the Escallade with the lights and the ram bar one added. May I suggest it be GM only? Right now GM and VIP share a special car. Treat GM to the SUV too.

Just so you are aware, the police vehicles (the Crown Vic, for example) were never released, as he has been waiting for an update to the vehicle script he uses. There's also rumors that he's left Gmod, but they haven't been confirmed. The only released Crown Victoria is a taxi version.
I feel that this idea is a good one, and it should be restricted to gold members ideally.
