Outside City 45 / Concept Facilities Test Chamber Airlock

The scanners into the test chamber have had their access set to a private card. Only two of these cards exist which are in the hands of Dave and Leonard. Only dave, len, and sky know about these cards. Attempted access will result in a denied access. The scanner inside the test chamber has had its power connector and memory chip removed. Also, the code on the scanners cannot be changed. A memory wipe on a scanner activates the bunkers alarm and cannot be shut off till a new profile is set.

Tl;dr unless you have the special access card only dave and i have, you cant go in the test chamber. This is temporary. The scanner inside the testchamber was disabled.

This is getting a bit rediculous. The crime rp in outlands is getting horrible and annoying as fuck. Its not realistic and its ruining others RP so here we go, another rant post by Statua.

Their Wants

It seems all people do when roleplaying a criminal in outlands is try to get the guns and ammunition. Sometimes they want items like flashlights and radios. This is fine, if it was OCRP in a non survival rp environment. Never have i seen anyone mug someone for food, a rarity in the outlands. Do you guys ever eat ICly? I would rather steal someones 24 pack of Bushes Best Beans then a magazine if 9mm rounds if I was living in the mountains with no food source.

Their Lifestyle

This sort of relates to the above topic. I see them running around, climbing hills, jumping off high spots. But where did they get the energy to do that? All you might find in the woods is some plants. (if there are animals, and admin needs to clarify that) Also, if youre constantly running around with nowhere to rest then you will have no energy left to do anything. (not all crime groups avoid rest but i see quite a few)

Their Aggression

This part is really odd. You're a citizen who escaped the city and travelled 300km from the outercanals to the mountains. You still would rather kill a non-union human for a gun? You just killed one human who might have been able to save your ass from overwatch or Xen life. Ok you have your gun. Whooptie doo want a cookie? If I wanted, I could take the alliance and rob every single fucking person on the outlands for their guns. But I wont. Why? Because its shit rp. After being forced into a life of poverty and oppression, the last thing I want to do is destroy people who could help me get my life back. Think about it. Why does your character want to kill another human? Especially considering what he/she wen through.

Their RP

Maybe I wouldn't hate criminals so mich if they jad a bit of etiquitte. RP etiquitte that should be taken into consideration when playing a criminal is:
-Allow the other person to finish typing before typing yourself
-Do not shoot anybody directly without them giving you the ok. If theres a dispute then contact an admin.
-Dont run everywhere. It looks shitty and is unrealistic. Next time you visit a hilly area, try sprinting around for 20 minites and tell me if tou still want to help me move some logs into my truck.
-Read physical descriptions. They contain important information at times, including armoir they might not have on oocly
-Type one line of text until it doesnt fit. Dont type multiple short lines. Eg:
J:Alrigt
J: All of you.
J: Come with me
This is shitty. Do this instead:
J: Alright. All of you. Come with me.

TL;DR

Ask yourself, why does your character want to ruin chances at getting normal life back? Why does he/she want to destroy something that will help them in the future? Why does he/she want to betray his/her own race? If your character is fucked up then follow the rp etiquitte i mentioned above.

General Visitor Rules
Please follow these rules closely. Failure to comply will result in permanant removal from the facility.

-Firearms must have their magazine out and their safety on as well as no rounds in the chamber. Pulse weapons must be discharged with no cores loaded and the power disabled.

-Act responsibly and maturely. Do not run around, yell, or horse around.

-Keep chatter to a minimum on the public frequency.

-Fighting within the facility will not be tolerated.

-No smoking inside the building.

-Do not enter restricted areas without permission from an authorized member.

-The lobby is available as a safehouse for anti-union humans. It is not a permanant housing. You may stay for a few nights if needed but you should really find a group to stay with.

-Do not bring armed opposition forces back to the facility, this includes running away with them following you

-Alliance networked group leaders and officers have access to restricted areas other then lab. Ask Leonard for a key.

-The Lobby Fence is to remain closed unless authorized personell or vehicles are passing through it.

I think I've revived the outlands whilst keeping city still going. Skyler, I know this has been your dream for months, I just wish you could be here to see it.

Sorry, needed to celebrate somehow. Maybe I'm jsut excited to get some serious survival RP initiated in some people. Walking around today I saw someone had set up a little camp in the woods. Was pretty neat looking. I didn't even put it in the map so gratz to whoever made it.

Just some random stuff I thought I would throw out there.

-There are 4 hidden gnomes

-There are 4 scanners playing radio feeds

-There are 8 refugee camps (camps with a campfire in the middle)

-There is a hidden minicave with a propane stove for camping

-There are 9 buildings to own (including the lab)

-There are 3 waterfalls

-it takes about 12 minutes to walk from one end of the road (spawn) to the other end (landslide)

-it takes about 4 minutes to walk through the tunnel

-it takes about 17 minutes to walk from spawn to the facility using the road, the river, and the mountain dirt path (that leads up to the lab)

-it takes about 3 minutes to drive from spawn to the bunker in a jalopy. 3:08 for the jeep and the airboat. No boosts used on any vehicle.

-there are 1447 pine trees (not including the 2D trees and tree clusters)

-there are 61 custom trees (the bushy ones)

-there are 319 rock clusters

-The highest waterfall is 197 feet

-The highest point you can fall off without noclipping or propclimbing is 131 feet

The deepest valley (valley base to skybox top) is 413 feet

-The lab is 84 feet underground. The test chamber is another 69 feet, making the lowest point of the facility 155 feet underground.

Dear Skyler

We have found a safe exit out of the canals into the mountains. The mountains are a safer and easier place to live. There is room to grow crops as well as fresh running water. The overwatch influence is low in the area. I have stuck a map to the back of this note for you to use. Also, on our way to the mountains, I will be dropping off bright yellow rocks with a number. If you look at your map, you'll see numbers along the path. Those numbers are equal to the numbers on the rocks so you know where to go. On the back of the map, each number has a description of the surrounding area and where to go. To reach the first rock, you must start at the labs. You can find the rock just past the gate which will be cut open. I have left a hiking bag filled with medical supplies, food, and water for you to use on your trip.

Be careful and keep a sharp eye out for creatures and overwatch. Good luck with your journey Skyler. I hope to see you in the near future.

I accidentally used a cardboard box infrom my L4D2 content rather then HL2 content. I uploaded a fix so you don't see an error, here: >DOWNLOAD<

This is a wilderness/hl2 outlands style RP map geographically placed in the Ineu mountains of Romania (though the brushwork is not geographically correct). It's a combination of the Episode 2 maps "ep2_outland_10" and "ep2_outland_10a" with some of my own brushwork to merge the two maps (the pass) as well as fill in some areas to make the map less linear. The map has buildings in the town as well as a small garage kind of thing erected on one of the hills. There are access points alongside the cliffs to climb up the cliff faces. The whiteforest station was converted into my own creation (the whole thing is my work aside from the outside entrance) of a bunker with a black mesaish looking mini lab. If you don't have episode 2, no worries. As long as you don't mind a little purple and black with a few errors here and there. I packed some of the materials and models into the map.

Here's a list of what the map includes:

-verticalness to decrease linearity and increase "room"

-overwatch outpost (hit use on the helicopters cockpit to teleport to the forest)

This authorization should not be granted till after the outlands mapchange. This authorization is for the entire Civiwatch group of the alliance. This auth is for finding variois items and resources on the way to the mountain pass.

-Mass fuel supply: found in a tanker truck. The fuel was treated with an additive to keep it from going bad due to the reason the truck was on a long trip. Civiwatch ICly has ten jerry cans for the fuel as well as a liquid storage cylinder from Albert Deans lab.

-Mass food supply: found in a transport truck. Various non-perishable food items such as canned foods and uncooked noodles

-Vehicle parts: collected from verious vehicles. Includes tires, spark plugs, belts, brakes, air filters, batteries, and starters.

-Electronic entertainment devices: collected from a transport. Includes tv, dvd player, stereo, music, movies

As the group was leaving the sewers into the countryside, they picked up a couple trailers and hooked them up to the Junker and the Buggy to help transport refugees faster. These trailers were found attached to two vehicles which were moving lumber at the time. The trailers are small flatbeds with rails and tons of rope. As the group traveled along the road to the mountain, they came across a two axel transpprt truck woth the back door open half. They noticed the food packaging and stopped to investigate. After realizing the food was good, they loaded as much as they could on one of the transports.

Further down the road, they noticed a fuel truck. Knowing they were low on fuel, they went to investigate again. They noticed this fuel truck was carrying premium fuel which was treated in order to last longer (ome of the civiwatch mechs could tell) they used jerry cans and a large liquid storage container from Docs lab to hold the fuel. A bit of a mess was made.

They noticed a third transport, similar to the first further up the road. When they investigated, they found electronic entertainment devices. After checking a bunch of broken devices, they found some still in good condition. They found a Playstation but they dont know that it is internally damaged and will not work without Sony parts. They stored these on the Junkers trailer.

Throughout the ride, they stopped at various vehicles to examine them and take parts. They stored these on either trailer and the airboat sled which was carryig their old items.

What will these authorizations give your character in regards to perks or defects?

If you would like to get authorizations for your character(s) to have found something on their way to the outlands be it a weapon, a vehicle, or anything of the like, make your authorizations now. Once we have moved, i dont think you can make one again unless its for a new character. If you wish to join the alliance transport, we will be trabeling through sewers, followed by a mountain road. If you wish to leave with your own story, be sure to state it.
