Confirmed. I'll add it and fix the seating, lighting and all the rest.

If it's based off the jeep base it will work just fine without any coding required for the actual vehicle, just some script changes for lights and seats.

Edit: Everything is possible with LUA.

All in all good ideas, my old fuel system test for a gamemode I was going to create used velocity and keyboard checks, and mass.

I can change it to gallons but the fuel gauge will still depend on the percentage to move the dial.

As for engines, it's pretty possible to do. Ent:fire() allows you to enable/disable the brakes, locks and engine.

General Discussion / Re: My New PC?

Ok, I would like you guys to review this and tell me what you think. I don't want to exceed $900. Here is what I got so far. PLEASE tell me if you have a better idea on certain parts. I want my computer to be for Raw Performace, for under 900.

Case: X-Titan Full Tower Gaming Case. (w/ front usb 3.0, built-in fan control, E-Z swap HDD dock, and Side-Panel window) From CyberpowerPC.

CPU: AMD FX-9370 4.40Ghz 8 Core AM3+ 8MB  L2 Cache

GPU: EITHER - AMD R7 260x 2gb GDDR5 PCIe 3.0 OR AMD R9 270x 2gb GDDR5 PCIe 3.0

Cooling: Asetek 510c Liquid Cooling System 120mm Radiator and Fan

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970 A-DS3P AMD 970 socket AM3+ ATX Motherboard. (ultra durable 4 Classic, 7.1 Audio, GbLAN, 2 Gen2 PCIe x16, 3 PCIe x1, 2 PCI)

RAM: 8GB (4gbx2) DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory, Kingston HyperX

Power Supply: 500 Watts - EVGA 80 Plus Bronze

Hard Drive: 1TB SATA-III 6.0 GB/s 32mb Cache 7200 RPM

Tell meh what you think

Drop that CPU for the FX 8350, the FX9xxx series were another flop on AMD's side and this FX 8350 that I have is a beast, buying a 9 Series is a waste of money and time.

For the GPU, get the R9 series as they are looking in great shape right now.

As for the rest of the build, it looks pretty solid! (Just don't plan to crossfire another GPU as that will overload the PSU)

Tried to use sound.PlayURL already. Tying it to the vehicles causes major issues and makes the sound create too many phantom streams.

Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

Sounds like you are having it re-create the sound multiple times, last time I tried it setup the sound on initialize and worked perfectly fine with moving the sound around.

Hello, I am the new developer here for OCRP and I'd like to know what you guys think of my upcoming plan for the radio.

Recently while checking the Garrysmod Wiki for any new useful functions and hooks, I noticed a new one which would be increadibly handy.

Code: [Select]
sound.PlayURL()
This is identical to what the bass module does, streams music in a 3D area within the localplayer (making it even faster than the bass module). It also supports all systems that play Garry'sMod (Windows,OSX & Linux)

I would also do a re-write of the clientside, allow you to input some of your favourite channels (which only you can see) which would then save and allow you to play a custom channel on the radio you bought (Finally!!)

What do you guys think, leave a comment on any adjustments.

Thanks. Stephen.

Suggestions / Re: Be able to choose where you want to spawn
« on: November 06, 2013, 03:48:24 PM »
My take on this since OCRP is getting rebooted;

When you log off from the server, the location you logged off at is saved.

When spawning back on the server it will check that location which was stored, it will then search around the radius for the nearest bus stop.

This will then spawn you at that bus stop, almost recommending that you use the bus rather than everyone being spewed into the same spawn point.

This will be more handy for keeping a Passive RP going on, kinda like a more persistent game!

the whole entire point of the thread is people wanting 1.5, not 2. we dont want anything to do with 2, separate servers and all. thats the whole point of this. we dont want to have 2, or anything to do with it, we just want 1.5. we dont want 2 just changed around, thats not even what the thread is about. its about, and only about, having 1.5 as a separate entity from 2. i dont want to make it sound like a dick but im trying to like communicate what im trying to say and yea, so sorry if i do as it's unintentional.

I don't think you understand clearly what has been said.

Rofl does not have a copy of 1.5 that is compatible with GM13, it will be more of a hastle to get the elements of 1.5 switched over and updated rather than working on a base that already works well and fixing it.

I'm just gonna tell everyone now as most of you won't know, I am the one that is going to be behind the OCRP2 overhaul.

I'll closely listen to any suggestions and try get them into the gamemode to a certain extent, I have a fairly big update planned.

I'm an idiot when it comes to anything white or blue, I payed more for the white and blue case and payed more for a fully white desk.

Only thing I need now is White headphones, monitor mouse and keyboard.

Well, 2 x Nvdia 660TI's gets a better score than a single Nvidia GTX 680 and the 680 is rated better than the 7970 so it is most likely better getting 2 x Nvidia 666TI's but do be warned, go check out the problems with "Micro stuttering".

You need a pretty good motherboard to prevent this.

The case was priced at £99 / $170-180 when I bought it, keeps my system cool at about 30-40c.

The PSU is a 750W OCZ Mainstream series.

In total the whole thing including new monitor and desk cost about £1600/$2400

Hey people, I'm sure atleast a few of you here may know me and for you few that knew me, You knew that I was against change.

I used to run a pile of shit PC that I didn't believe new technology would actually benefit me much.

Old PC Specs:
Pentium D, yea that D means Dual-Core, Beasting.
4-6GB of DDR2 800MHZ (On a good day it would play nice and show me 6GB as one stick was faulty, partially.) - If it works, Don't fix it.
250GB HDD, pile of shit. - Went slow.
2 x 9800GT's
A metal tin can case
Stupid 1024x1280 monitor.

So one day I decided the following : Fuck it, any penny I get in from doing computer work for friends and family, it goes on a new pc.

So this is what came out of it, It has 0.0% lag on any game I throw at it maxed out and it just looks plain awesome.

CPU: FX-8350, No OC, Don't need it - 4.0GHZ 8Core
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1666MHZ
Boot Disk: SanDisk 120GB Extreme Pro - Cost atleast £200 when I got it.
Game storage disk: 1TB Samsung thing - Pretty good actually.
Motherboard: Sabretooth 990FX R2.0
Graphics: 2 x 660TI's - Yeah, I like my SLI setups.
Case: NZXT Phantom - White

These images were before I bought a new white desk and a new 24" 1920x1080 Acer LED monitor, the desk has mood lighting too.

I also done more cable tidying inside and braided my inner cables White with light blue heat shrink.

Thanks for having a look, comment on what you think - Stephen

Just F.Y.I. that HyperX Beast RAM is far too O.P. just for gaming.

The most required for gaming would be about 1666MHZ, something that crazy would be for extreme cases of 3D rendering and video editing, I hope you are using it for that too.

Otherwise it's a waste of £1096.
