I guess the majority of people (including crap-head) doesn't understand this simple fact;

I have very limited access to server files, no access to the old files on the other hard drive or anything. There is a few things on the test server which are still awaiting the custom tmysql interface piece, e.g. OCRP, Global chat and the store. I simply could not find it due to my lack of privledges. I have done nothing wrong here.

The interface piece for the database is missing, I tried for several days to talk to people about finding it. didn't get much back then I got asked to move on to CGRP.

I won't be working on OCRP, instead I will be working fully on CGRP so if people want it back, speak to ROFL.

The RV model looks great in all, but the growing any form of narcotics growing is just completely stupid. the size that the weed plant grows to will be almost the height of the inside of that RV, it's also very wide and will look stupid as hell when clipping through the side of the vehicle.

I also know for a fact that some stupid players will break the rule of not growing while moving, this will cause intense server load due to multiple entities colliding at the back of that RV as there is no-where for them to fall out of.

On the other hand, box trucks had the door at the back where your plants would fall out if you put the foot down.

It could either be a faulty card, miss-fitted card or broken RAM.

Try removing and re-slotting the graphics card as with most customers that have tried to install a graphics card themselves, this has been the problem.

As for ram, slot in your old graphics card and see if that's working, when ram goes, it goes at the weirdest of times without any evident problems beforehand.

If the above suggestions haven't solved it, RMA the card.

Still in theory loses money sinks, a player pays less for your car and you get the money directly, that's already two downsides that will make a huge bump to the money sinks.

The current way works great, as I said, if it were to be put in place the car would need to sell for around 10-15% of the price at which you bought it for.

General Discussion / Re: Thinking of selling TWO GTX 660's
« on: December 21, 2013, 07:49:16 PM »
i'd personally rather have two cards. that way if one breaks you're not completely screwed, not to mention they'll last longer because of not being as loaded

But why would a card break if you have adequate cooling. They are designed to downclock or even shut down when too warm.

If you are going to buy something expensive, know your stuff and treat it right.

Treating a card right doesn't always ensure it will last, like my previous cards in this system proved.

I had two old 9800GT's and they were both more than adequately cooled, my system temperature never peaks over 30c even with my new cards but one of the 9800GT's wore out after just after a year and started failing with artifacts and BSOD's

I personally agree with Waffle in the fact that it's always better to have two slightly less powerful cards, SLI has worked fine for me on any game I throw at it with great scaling, it all depends on your motherboard and full setup. Plus, a GTX 780TI starts at £549 which will still require me to do a complete system rebuild with a new CPU and Motherboard,  most likely an Intel if I planned to SLI a GTX 780TI.

A GTX 770 is a pretty high-spec card and will do me fine when in SLI.

Why not get two gtx 780 ti's instead? Looked up the specs and some of them beat the Titan...

you realise how expensive the 780 ti is right, never mind buying two of them lol not to mention you'd need a monster rig just to handle it without bottlenecking it and a very good PSU

Lol, I knew someone would come up with the idea of buying two 780 TI's!

If I had the money to build a crazy ass rig with a 4930K, 32GB of ram and a massive PSU, i'd go that route!

Sadly, I don't have that money and my current FX8350 would bottleneck the shitter out of these cards, I might actually need to buy a new motherboard as it is almost maxed out with my current GTX 660s with the PCI-E 2.0 bandwidth and the 660's are built to be run on PCI-E 3.0

Why no get a better single card.

I don't know of any single card that can beat a 2-Way GTX 770 SLI setup. also, for the price it is unbeatable. (also spreads load over two cards, making them last longer and reduces wear)

It's been done many times before on here, there is no true way to tell the wear on a graphics card.

If there were a way to show the wear on the card, I would show it here.

Plus the fact, £100 for a Working & Used state is pretty decent, the only cheaper you will get is a refurbished or faulty card.

Hey everyone, as people mostly know me for my ridiculous new addiction to constantly upgrading my PC, I feel it's time to replace my two GTX 660's with TWO GTX 770's in time for Star Citizen.

The only difference this time is that I plan to sell my GTX 660's, they are in mint condition and used for less than a year. As I am an enthusiast I clean my computer up to 4 times a month (Don't worry, it's only usually once a month, I aint that much of a freak!)

So, I want to see if anyone is looking for any graphics cards, I'm willing to sell these for £100 a pop, shipping will be depend on where you live. anything outside of Scotland will require more expensive shipping.

If anyone is interested, I'll consider selling them around January/Feburary depending on if I get enough money for atleast a single GTX 770 by that point.

Terrible portrait image below, phone is playing up.

I'll get a few more shots later with my DSLR.

General Discussion / Re: Scariest thing that has ever happened to you
« on: December 19, 2013, 09:10:10 AM »
I'd class this as the scariest thing that happened to me when I was younger.

In Scotland, specifically where I live we have a form of suspended roundabouts, where in the central reservation of them there is busy motorways.

Image of a roundabout for other countries that don't understand what it is

Well, basically at the time of these being built there was no safety barriers, a common problem in my bloody town which has caused many deaths. It was mid-winter around 6-8 years ago when my whole family of 4 were driving back from a nice dinner out, we were on the last roundabout before home.

Pretty much the last few hundred yards before getting home, my dad pulled out to cross the roundabout and suddenly a dumbass boy racer thinks he can tackle black ice, come flying around the roundabout and attempts to brake, obviously failing.

He T-boned our car pushing it right to the edge of the central reservation, the car was pretty much balancing on the edge and my mum had to physically grab me and my sister from the back of the car through gap between the front seats.

I've never been more scared than this in my life, I still remember every detail to this day. the car luckily didn't slide off the edge and into the fast flowing motorway traffic below.

By the looks of it, it's already part of the To-Do list (excluding the Mule obviously), well it's actually internal suggestions but I class them as a To-Do list.

Consider ambulance and cop car replacements confirmed.
