Rees - Occupy City's Tool Trust Application
Age: Fifteen
Time in HL2RP: A few months now, including my time before I went into hibernation.

What will you use Tool Trust for?
I'd use the tool trust mainly to benefit a certain roleplaying situation. Lets say myself and some other units were in the break-room eating or sitting on a table, I'd spawn a table and some benches to enhance the actual roleplaying experience and make what we're sitting on (virtually) real. I'd also use the handy dandy lighting tool to place lighting in maybe a dark room in the Nexus, such as the SPECTRE labs or something of the sort, to make it easier for the player to see and such. I'd also spawn medical props, like the freezer we've been missing in the storage room for the past few days, or fix the medical beds when they get dislodged or anything of the sort. Nothing harmful or that could constrict roleplay of any sort.

I'm not talking about firearms, but everyone seems to be carrying around knives, and at least six of them to throw at me.
Anything sharp and can cut, I've never dealt with a firearm yet though.

Like mentioned before I enjoy the idea of separating loyalists from any "criminal."
From personal experience on the new map, my Loyalist character can't go to any other street beside the one infront of the Nexus, and going towards the apartments is even a stretch past that. Once he gets out of the immediate vicinity of any CCA, it's a hunt and everyone is after him.
I can understand the small part of realism in the situation, but there's barely ANY loyalist characters that are even open about it, and everyone else tries to just kill them instead of mugging or even trying to talk 'em out of it.
Having a shield that'd stop those encounters when I'm not in the mood for a fight or any bullshit would be amazing, and I'm simply all for it.
But like someone said earlier, the main problem would be for the people who aren't loyalists, which want to progress and become such a thing. Without any real CCA patrols, they'd be stuck in the "P3" area and not have the access to try and attain such a thing.
I do hope that it isn't an actual P3 situation, and if you send something in on your request device, the CCA can actually go in. That's one way to really stop the problem, and make loyalist status a bit more difficult and sort of stealthy to attain. They'd need to be quiet when reporting other things and sort of just laying low, which wouldn't envelop someone into that awful "crime" roleplay.
Plain and simple, those selective doors are just fucking cool, and I want them.

Every citizen and their mother in the sever seems to have some sort of weaponry on them. Taking away their money will only increase the rates people are mugged and robbed, and characters killed. I'm only personally speaking from P3 and "the wrong side of town" experience, but seeing as how people react to you carrying a donut in your inventory, if they start losing all their money, the crime rate is going to sky-rocket. In turn with that, the CP will need to get a lot more involved in things, which could viewed as good or bad, like most things in this topic. In the end I think it'll turn into a massive shit-storm that'll involve full-on CP raids and all, which could be fun. It won't be as fun for the losing side, though. It'll probably cause a lot more OOC turmoil when the CP need to start firing because everyone is a gun-totin' badass. It could create some decent "gang" roleplay, though I doubt it'll be as good as I'm picturing it in my head. The issue above could be good or bad on both sides of a spectrum, but in my own personal opinion, I don't think every gold/vip members turning into some high class gun shooting criminal would be the best for the serious roleplay of the server. That's just my two cents, and someone with experience could most definitely out-debate me on this topic. I'm just trying to get the point across that some people will do whatever it takes to keep their money, rather it be killing characters or spending real life money. Either way, I don't believe this is going to be a win-win situation. It just does need to be handled in some sort of way. How? I'm not exactly sure, haven't been here long enough to make an affirmative answer. I just hope whatever happens, if anything, works for the best and the interests of the community. I do like the idea of someone with decency and responsibility, like an Admin, being charged with the duty to "distribute" various items instead of anyone with a couple thousand coins being able to spawn something out of their ass. In that sense, having a "dealer" would definitely increase roleplay and maybe even interaction between everyone in the server, it'll also create a sort of "under-ground" market type of roleplay. I'm not sure if all that exists already, but I haven't seen it, so that's just my penny in. All in all, nobody is going to like a total reset in their tokens, and they'res going to be a bitch-fit about it if it ever does occur. There are numerous ways to approach this issue, but a reset is probably the one that'll cause the most strife from the most people This post wasn't intended to bash anyone's ideas or opinions on the topic, it's just my thoughts on the subject.

I was there in the trainstation when 211 was being operated on, I felt special.  Either way, that was an amazing story and it must've taken foooorever to type, I couldn't just sit down and do that. Really good job there on that one, especially with the music.

Eh, I never really trusted any Playstation beside the second one. I was always an Xbox fan myself, but I contemplated on trying out a PS3. I always heard bad things about their online and due to the numerous times it went down, I started to believe it. Main reason why I stuck to the Xbox. The news honestly doesn't excite me that much, but I'm sure some Playstation fans are screaming louder about this than girls at a Bieber concern. Bungie's new involvement with Sony will definitely impact the console and the companies affiliated with it in positive ways, that's something even I want to see develop.

I couldn't ever see something like an SMG doing damage to a Combine APC, so I agree with the Raged's point.
Also, maybe give it some weak points, I guess? Like a gas tank on a car sort of idea; it takes a lot more damage if it's hit in a certain area,
