Just curious how far along we will be starting.

If we start new, how far back are we going?

I'd love to see the HECU like in hl1, some of the coolest units in video game history.

We could have people apply and simply draw names from a hat

and what if someone picked is too unserious or has no idea what to do at all

Thats why they apply. Could screen using a quiz or through community.

Again thats why we screen. To only put people capable into said hat. We wouldn't just put john doe in charge.

a quiz or community screening really doesn't give someone the experience or knowledge to run an entire divison

Suggestions / more drugs
« on: January 05, 2014, 03:34:13 AM »
Tbh drugs are fun.

Doing drugs and seeing people on drugs is fun.

Watching people get in trouble for drugs is fun.

We need more drugs for more fun.

Many types of drugs could be added if you choose to add some more 'fringe' drugs I am willing to help describe effects, short term and adverse.

Thankss

Suggestions / tutorial

A tutorial on this fourm or mandatory on the server will not only help players who want to emerge themselves in the RP as well as help LITE rp'er's adjust to something much heavier like this.

What I got was my ex flying in, only to bitch about her current boyfriend and then ask what I'm doing tomorrow and for my friend to book it somewhere with everything nice we had in our flat.

no gregtech = huge mistake
I can still add it, it's just that anyone that wants to play has to manually add it to their direwolf20 pack.

If enough people want me to change mod packs then I'll do it. I wanted the server to be at 1.6.4 for MCPC+ stability reasons.

no greg tech means you finish most things within a week, greg tech adds about a month of playability.

Do not add mods people must add, you will never get people this way

General Discussion / Re: Thinking of selling TWO GTX 660's

i'd personally rather have two cards. that way if one breaks you're not completely screwed, not to mention they'll last longer because of not being as loaded

But why would a card break if you have adequate cooling. They are designed to downclock or even shut down when too warm.

If you are going to buy something expensive, know your stuff and treat it right.

Sli is pointless until you get to top tier.  There is always a better single card for the same price. Sli does not scale super well and some games today can not even use the 2 cards. You will also get microjitter and all around unless you have titans or 780 ti's sli is pointless.

General Discussion / Re: PC Build
« on: December 13, 2013, 07:23:55 PM »
Benchmarks vs. Real-world tests.

There is no comparison, I develop on windows, I had the developer preview which was out before anyone else got their hands on it, it is bloody terrible.

Stick with Windows 8/8.1 until it's proven to atleast boost game performance and compiling time, Windows 7 has stood the test of time and it is one of the best operating systems you can get currently.

I guess you are forgetting that I am actually a developer and the speel of "I use benchmarks @ work" proves nothing.

Doing benchmarks and burn-in includes synthetic and in game testing still showing next to no difference on high end and mid range rigs.

I guess being a dev means synthetic and real world tests can be disregarded.

I do agree though, I have had dev build before the public test of 8 and it has been complete crap.
Not sure if any of you had this problem but depending on the license you were given/bought/stole you have different update times. My computers at work update well before my home PC does and they both run the same build.
