I'm thinking this wasn't in America, as he listed the speed limit for the roadway as being "100 kilometers per hour."

The United States uses MPH. It's the one measure we have in common with England.

It's funny though, cause you can still switch between kmh and mph on your car. I love the look on the drivers face when I switch it and they don't see me do it.
