Forum-side suggestions. 1. Add a members list + search function. 2. Add a ban list with ban lengths, reasons and which admin banned him. 3. Add steam ID's to peoples profile pages. (This requires global linking, aka a mySQL server.) 4. Add peoples roleplay name on their profile page. (idem as ^)
Half life 2 roleplay suggestions. 1. Add a function/way for admins to see peoples steam, and roleplay name even though they only know the character physical description. 2. Perhaps an ingame report system? (What I mean is a way for people to report rulebreakers ingame which makes a log of console, and sends it as well at the players information to either the forum, or a sort of email system ingame.)
Forum-side suggestions 1. Hover over "Home" and select "Members" for that. 2. This is coming soon. However, bans aren't currently logged into MySQL, but actually in a .txt file, which is impossible to link to the forums. 3. Same as #2. 4. Same as #2 unless you mean allowing people to manually put their names (which I believe is already available).
Half life 2 roleplay suggestions 1. Use "aura_adminesp 1". 2. "/report" sent to admins in-game would be simple, but sent to the forums might be tough to do. I'll talk with RoflWaffle about a way to do this.
I really cannot stand the current HRP GUI. I'm thinking about creating one with photoshop, but I'd like to know if others would like to help create one as well.
Also, for the person who would code it, are you willing to do this?
With as big of a community as Voltage Gaming is, we are surpassing them in active users at this moment. Also, we have more users online at this moment than they have ever had at one time.
Look at the size of the box to begin with. If it was any wider, you'd have to scroll right or left. Any longer, and everything else would be pushed down below it.
Actually, we've been on it for a while, but it was never put into use. Well, now it is!
We have just implemented a live Twitter Feed for quick news about any big or small updates within Catalyst Gaming. I've placed this feed on the portal, so as soon as you access our website, it's available right before your eyes.
Catalyst Gaming has officially introduced a way to donate for in-game cash.
To do so is very simple. Go here, click "In-Game Cash", and then choose a preferred option for whichever game.
At this moment, Harbor Roleplay and Garry's Mod Racer are the only two servers with this ability. These donations are not automatic. Please follow the instructions on the page to receive it correctly.
This really is a disappointment to CG. Most of the work spent on HRP was great. Honestly, you basically just took all of that work away and trashed it to a shitty map using a DarkRP edit.
Below is a list of updates that have just been added to the Harbor Roleplay server:
[ADDED] Organizations, NPC is located in the Nexus.
[ADDED] HAZMAT is a actual job now for apocalypse events
[ADDED] Doors now spawn on the island by default.
[ADDED] "Donation" tab to F4 menu.
[FIXED] Un-lockdown now works properly.
[FIXED] Admin tags now work properly.
[FIXED] Government officials now spawn with ammo.
[FIXED] Jail positions on the new map.
[CHANGED] Government officials now spawn in the Nexus.
[CHANGED] Updated "Help" tab in F4 menu.
[CHANGED] You may no longer change your RP name unless a admin forces it on you
[CHANGED] Notification sound
[CHANGED] Other unnoticeable changes.
These updates will be live within a few hours.
It's been a while, so I decided the forums needed a bit of a cleanup.
[ADDED] New badges (owner, admin, VIP, etc.).
[ADDED] Ability for two badges to show up on one user. For example, I myself am an admin, but also a developer, so I have two badges.
[CHANGED] New "Staff List" on the main page. This may take a while to complete, but it will look more clean without having to worry about the admins being in a random order.
Also, as some may have noticed from the forums update log, Counter-Strike: Source has officially been removed from Catalyst Gaming's lineup. Unfortunately, it didn't kickoff how we'd hoped it did, so it was time to take it off from our box.
