Foraging
When Logan was a child, she usually learned about certain plants outside, at other camps, and other places, learning the different plants that you can eat, use to heal people, and poisonous ones that can injure and kill people, and what parts are edible and what parts are not. She often took a walk in the forest, identifying plants and eating ones that you could eat and had nutrients.
Role Play Example
(This was in her Childhood)
**Logan Sutherland slowly walks through the forest, her casual clothing on
**Logan Sutherland feels her stomach, looking around for any plants, spotting one, walking up to it
**Logan Sutherland : "Looks like I can eat this"
**Logan Sutherland picks the berry, examining it, opening it, looking at the berry's inside
**The berry is edible, it looks like a Blueberry
**Logan Sutherland picks another Blueberry, sticking it in her mouth, eating it
**The berry is ripe, fine, and juicy
Wood Working
As a teenager, at the age of 15, Logan helped her father who was a carpenter, he gave Logan a pocket knife, and taught her how to make certain objects like Forks, Spoons, Bowls, Cups, small Vases, and large Bowls. She made these commonly, selling them for some money, not much though.
Role Play Example
(As a Teenager)
**Logan Sutherland reaches in her pocket, taking out a small, slick, black pocket knife, grabbing a piece of wood, bringing the knife to it
**The pocket knife cuts through the wood at a slower speed, effort needed to carve through the wood.
**It looks like she is making a small cup, not perfect, but good enough to hold and drink out of
**The cup is almost finished, the main shape made out, but the insides not yet carved
**Logan Sutherland works carefully, making the insides as good as possible
**Logan Sutherland carves a funnel like bottom, clearly not perfect, but enough to hold beverages
**Logan Sutherland takes out a small rag, scrubbing it inside the cup, attempting to take out as many splinters, almost all of them
**The cup looks smooth inside, barely any splinters
**Logan Sutherland sets the cup down, after hours of work, Logan has finished the cup, bringing it to her father, then putting water in it and drinking from it
Pocket Knife
When Logan escaped City 45 by crawling through the sewers, finding a road, then walking along it to freedom, or so she thought. When Logan had obtained her Shotgun and Handheld Radio by a man and some 'Necrotics' falling off of a cliff, one falling and died, the other splitting on a fence, the other half crawling with Logan running to the shotgun, she spotted the dead man with a shotgun and some ammunition, taking it off him and loading it in the shotgun, aiming at the head of the zombie, firing, her flinching and stepping back from the recoil, then finding the radio, looting the dead man's pockets, finding the pocket knife.
Role Play Example
(Outlands)
**Logan Sutherland is horrified at the sight of the dead man and the zombie lying there, dead
**Logan Sutherland throws up, stepping back, staring at the shotgun, slowly walking over to the dead man, picking up the heavy shotgun
**A zombie suddenly walks off the cliff, falling on the fence, the legs spewing with blood after impact, the fence impaling the creature and the upper torso falling, crawling with its arms, it's entrails hanging out with spewing blood
**Logan Sutherland shrieks at the sight, aiming the shotgun, only loaded with one round, squeezing the trigger
**The zombies head is blown to pieces, the headcrab almost gone and the torso bloody
**Logan Sutherland steps back, knowing what she did was for her own life, then looking over at the body, walking to it while slinging the shotgun on her back, kneeling down, checking the man's pockets
**She finds a Handheld Radio and a Pocket Knife, the edge somewhat sharp
**She picks the Pocket Knife up, placing it in her pocket
**When she picks up the Radio, the batteries fall out, resetting the frequency
**Logan Sutherland picks up the batteries, putting them back in, still in a shocked stage

1. Useful for carving wood
2. Intimidation to Other People, thinking it is a weapon

1. Some things that she eats may harm her if she mistakes it

1. Some wood may contain termites, rendering wood un-usable
2. The objects crafted take time, and aren't really durable
3. The objects crafted can leak and not work, wasting time

2. This can be lost, considering it is small
What do you plan to do with these perks/defects?
I plan to create certain supplies, not advanced, just wooden, like bowls, cups, forks, and other simple things, and to survive and make food.
