As an IB Modern History student, I would say that the Korean War and the Vietnam War, or just all wars that were part of the US Truman Doctrine, were pointless and accomplished nothing. Everyone knows why the Vietnam war sucked, but the Korean War is something else. The premise is the Korean War is like the first episode of Red vs Blue: Two sides have a base in a box canyon. There is nothing in that box canyon worth taking advantage. It is just a fucking pointless box canyon in the middle of nowhere. If one side were to get up and leave, then the other would have TWO bases in a box canyon.

1. Mass Effect 1 & 2, soon to be 3 (Bioware needs to make EVERY RPG from now on) 2. Total War series (Realistic real time battles involving historically accurate units? Count me in!) 3. Half Life 1 & 2 (The expansions for 1 were meh, but still, Gordan Freeman, it's good to see you!) 4. Fallout: New Vegas (It's Oblivion, with guns!) 5. Battlefield 3 (Fuck you, Activision!) 6: Supreme Commander (The first one and it's expansion, not the piece of shit second one) 7. World in Conflict (Imagine a Tom Clancy novel, but with more action. Lots more action.) 8. Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Does anyone want to challenge this?) 9. Halo 1-3 (Fuck ODST and Reach, fucking filler pieces of shit....) 10. Star Wars: Battlefront (Fuck yeah!)

OCRP: Orange Cosmos Roleplay. It's a better spinoff of PERP, if you have played on PERP before. Less serious than HL2RP, but you can still find passive RPers
Outlands: HL2RP in the Outlands outside of City 45
HRP: Harbor Roleplay. Lots of water. Fishing is where the dosh is at, but watch out for trolls and pirates!
GMPTR: Garry's Mod Party. It was meant to be a lobby of sorts that all people would join and either play minigames or connect to one of the other servers. I think it's a failure IMHO.
MC: Minecraft server
HaloCE: Self-explanatory

Let me just start this off with a well-known fact: The modern music industry has been tanking as of late. I don't care if you like pop, rap, metal, or some underground experimental band that you are self-assured that no one else has heard about, everyone can agree to this. This is why I write my thesis: The modern music industry is tanking because of lack of emotion, dishonesty, and profit motive. Firstly, let me just get down to the lack of emotion in modern music. Back in the seventies, music was driven by the artist's emotions at the time that he/she was writing it. For exhibit A, let me introduce Queen's "Under Pressure". I still get chills every time I hear the crescendo. In modern music, I'm just not getting any "vibes" (I will make an exception for "M4 Part 2" by Faunts). There's no emotion in it, it's just DANCE DANCE ALL NIGHT LONG or I LOVE YOU, BABY. It's like the "artist", and I used that word in a very loose sense, sat down at their desk, took out a piece of paper, and wrote a crappy love poem to no one. There's no societal message, no deeper meaning, and no feeling. It's like a First Person Shooter with no replay value. Segwaying into my next argument, most "artists" are dishonest. When I say this, I am speaking of bands like Slayer and Nickleback (Not that I in any way, shape, or form put them in the same category). Slayer, for those of you who don't know, is a seminal thrash metal band, famous for songs like "Raining Blood" and "Seasons in the Abyss". They are also famous for their very frightening and satanic themed album covers. In spite of all this, the band members of Slayer are devout Christians. Now, I do not hate Christianity, nor do I hate Slayer (I could listen to Seasons in the Abyss all damn day), but if you're going to talk the talk, then at least walk the walk (Upon looking up Norwegian Black Metal, I take that back). Now for a much better argument, why does Nickleback suck? Nickleback was and still is part of the post-grunge movement of Nirvana/Pearl Jam spin-offs. Despite claiming to be the torch bearers of grunge, Nickleback, along with its sister band, Creed, are nothing more than losers who are riding the gold mine that was the Grunge movement. Back in the late 80s/early 90s, Nirvana wrote songs that were inspired by Kurt Cobain's teenage angst. The songs that he wrote came from his heart, and he put every ounce of emotion and feeling into it. In other words, he was legit. Nowadays, I feel more respect for Lady Gaga than Nickleback. You are probably thinking WTF? right now, but as one of my all-time favorite lead singers, Geddy Lee, once sang, "All this machinery making modern music can still be open-hearted. Not so coldly charted, it's really just a question of your honesty, yeah, your honesty. One likes to believe in the freedom of music, but glittering prizes and endless compromises shatter the illusion of integrity. " (Rush, Spirit of Radio) Using that last quote as a transition, another problem with music industry is that most bands/artists nowadays are motivated by profit rather than message. Just look at every pop/rap/hip-hop artist to come out in the last decade: No talent, yet they somehow make millions. How? The answer is simple: The music industry looks for puppets, people who they can use to milk money out of a target demographic. Look at Justin Bieber: He cranks out cheap and corny love songs and prepubescent girls eat it up. Who WOULDN'T take advantage of that cash cow? Rebecca Black is another example: I am not sure whether it was all her idea to get into the music industry, but what I do know is that she definitely didn't write "Friday". In short, my message to them: Don't stop making music, just make your own, without autotune (I have yet to regret this statement). In conclusion, the music industry needs a slap to the face to cure this chronic lack of emotion, dishonesty, and profit motivation. Going against my thesis, however, I will say that there are some new bands that refresh my faith in humanity. Amongst them, the most famous is Adele, which I would hope requires no explanation. There are also multiple small bands, which is where most of money lies. My message to you all: Support your local artists. Remember that Queen, Pink Floyd, and Iron Maiden didn't start by playing to sold out audiences.

You're comparing BVB to Kiss? You are comparing a shitty black metal/goth metal/whateverdafuq metal band with one of the greatest hard rock acts of all time?!

This has been going on for as long as I can remember. My Half Life 2 game, which I bought off of Steam, has some broken animations. The most notable example is when you get teleported into Breen's office. In other gameplay videos I've seen, Breen is supposed to jump up. However, in my version, he stays sitting, looking up at you. Next, when you teleport back, he is sitting down also. Is there a fix or is this courtesy of the Steam edition?

CONNECTION ESTABLISHED New File Opened: Log 01Subject: Log 01<::|| As the video log starts, you see the face of a CCA officer with his mask off, staring at something off to the left of the screen. He has black hair and brown eyes, as well as bags under his eyes from obvious distress. He is sitting in a chair with a yellow can in his hands. He speaks with a French accent. This is unit 350. It took me a little while, but I finally convinced myself to start keeping video logs, as if tomorrow would my last day alive. He snorts, an uneasy smile on his face For me, this is cleareur and more present dangeur with every passing day. I'd let myself get stabbed again just so I could redo my days as a recruit. The smale fades from his face, replaced by a look of dread Instead, I find myself on the verge of being relocated off-world. I didn't believe the rumors at first, but it started to become clearer to me that the High Command had something in store for me. Yesterday, Feur-Oh-One told me that the SeC pondeured having me amputated, but decided against it because I wasn't worth his time. 350 takes a long swig from the can. He then stays silent for a little bit, pondering his last few words The last few days have reawakened my resolve. In fact, being on Death's doorstep isn't so bad, really. It teaches you discipline, that mission faileur will result in harsh punishment. He takes another swig from the can It's also taught me the vice of mortality. ||::> Saving File As: Log 01Saving File... Saving File... Saving File... 9/20/2016 City 45? I've been in shittier places. City 18 was pretty shitty. Then again, so was City 9. I almost like City 11, if that hadn't gone to shit. Then again, where on this planet hasn't it gone to shit? Sadistic cops on a beating quota, forcing us to wait in lines to get shitty multivitamins, it's only a matter of time before we're waiting in lines to die. You know, what an interesting thought! Compared with the other shit that goes on around here, I wouldn't be surprised by that one bit.

Leomarr, if you are reading this, I don't want to sound butthurt, but there are some things I need to say to help promote mutual understanding. If you are not Leomarr, allow me to explain my frustration:
I was patrolling in the plaza when I came upon 155 arguing with some black street gamer. Assuming that 155 had the situation handled, I went back on my business. Next thing I know, I see the black man running with 155 in hot pursuit. Unsure of what to do, I gave chase, when I caught up to him at the edge of the D2 tunnel, I pulled my pistol and shot him. Next thing I know, 155 is staring at me and I am being physgunned by Leomarr. Within less than a minute I found myself slapped with two blackmarks.
Now, if Leomarr is reading this, I don't want to rage to you THAT I received blackmarks, I merely wish to know WHY I received them for an OOC mis-judgement. For clarity, I'll go into depth with it. There were many things that made me pull the trigger, but in general, one defines all of them: Instinct. Put yourself in my shoes: As a CCA officer, you see an EpU chasing a black male who seemed to not be showing much fear towards the officer. Add to that that in the split second before you shoot him you see him crouching, you would think him a minge, too.
In short, Leomarr, I merely wish to say that I shot you instinctually, and I consider unfair that you put me one step from hell because I did something that I see happen everyday. As a final word: Couldn't you have just respawned yourself and started over before I shot you? Not all learning experiences involve harsh punishments.
