Could somebody put a build together please?

people have already put together 3 or so builds for you in this very thread

But there were changes in what other people said... And one thing is like out of stock or something

GMR1 would be really fun to play if we got a working version up on a server.
Look lol
I told waffle a while back, we talked about it, hes waiting for OCRP2 to be finished before moving on.  That way there is not a shittload of unfinished projects laying around.  Also, needs a tiny bit of work, reconverting it all to MySQL.  The current format is fine, but I am sure he would like it to be MySQL for ease of editing.  I need to do some work on the hud and gui, but I need someone who specializes in that to help me, as I was never any good at them.  I have many ideas in mind.  OH, and by the way, my version has a front mounted mouse aimed machine gun and is more optimized than existing copies  :3

My copy currently saves player stuff as pdata, and records and race times in txt files.  Its really nice to have incase the MySQL is unreachable too.

General Discussion / Disconnecting from steam
« on: June 19, 2013, 10:49:48 AM »
Has anybody else been getting randomly disconnected from steam lately? And another thing I keep getting errors to open CS:GO and Portal 2. Error Code 53 or something. I have no idea what that's all about.

Do you not want your game cards?

Honestly, I would go with an intel and nvidia build if you're willing to spend the money. It's better quality, and that's really a fact. AMD is cheaper because, well, it's not as good. But buy what you want.

Also, what are you going to be doing with this PC? If just gaming, stay with an i5 and 8gb ram.
I'm just really using it for gaming and maybe fraps when I play CG but, I would like to run like skyrim Ultra and like other graphic demanding games.
Yeah, stay with an i5 if you're just going to use it for gaming. i7's are good for rendering, modelling, etc. The only difference between an i5 and an i7 is the multicore hyperthreading, something games don't take advantage of yet.

This should play most games on Ultra. If you want, you may be able to get a cheaper motherboard and upgrade to GTX 670 graphics card.

Edit: Are you planning on overclocking? If so, you'll want to get a CPU cooler. Also, do you need an OS? That'll set you back $100. I upgraded the build to a GTX 670. Also changed the optical drive to a blu ray one.

Okay, since it's in your budget I went ahead and switched over to an i7 and 16gb ram.

CPU
HDD
Case
GPU
RAM
Optical Drive
Motherboard
PSU
$1225 including shipping. If you want it less than $1200, drop down to 8GB RAM.
Yeah, I forgot all about the OS Probably Win7 either home professional 64 bit
16GB RAM is a massive waste if all you are going to do is game and fraps, at max go for 8GB and save your money
I was going to start youtubing with my friend but I guess I could upgrade if it ever happens.

If you give us a budget we can build a more up to date build off of what we have here. Like I said in my first post, the build you have won't work as you have an intel motherboard and AMD cpu.
I think I would be willing to spend around $1,000 to $1,250 once I get my money saved up.
I'm not sure how long you're waiting, but if it's a long time away then you'll probably be able to upgrade the components.

Here's a build I put together for you. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/14KSU

I'm not really sure if you need any extra expansion cards, a monitor, etc. If you do need something else just tell me and I'll modify the build. I can also add a SSD in there as a boot drive if you want. I'd have to change some stuff around to keep it under $1200, though.

First of all, Thank you very much and would it be necessary to have 16 gb of ram or an i7 intel quad core?

Well, I don't know about TDM considering people will probably take advantage of it and make it the maxed people vs noobs..

I thought garry either broke them or I thought I heard something about some license ran out and he was going to switch to an mp3 manager or something for cheap..

Right-click gmod, go to properties, Beta's then dev - development branch

Bam, Sounds fixed.

You really never played GMR?... It's so fun! You could get so much stuff.. and get records max out your car, prestige, and armor up for arena maps. Anyway that was GMR 2 if they switched to a non bugged GMR1 It should be good..
Bugs and no one played it after the first week.
GMR stands for gmod racer correct?  If so.. :P  Add TDM, TDM fixes everything... XD  Still, if TDM where added to something like that, it would be fricking awesome!
