General Discussion / Re: Suggest a Gaming Mouse!

I just bought the Logitech G502 Proteus Core. The Corsair looked nice but it didn't have as much going for it as the G502. It's more expensive but hopefully it will last me long enough to offset the expense.

Feel free to keep chatting about DPI, you fucking nerds ;)

Ironally I use the mouse that OP used which broke. Aka the logitech MX518
And I think it's a really good mouse. It's dirty, and the scroll wheel is not as smooth as it used to be (Makes a lot of noise and sometimes seems a bit sticky) I really like the mouse.
I have it for years, so that excuses the decay on it. But I like the shape of the mouse and it has all you need: Mouse 4 and 5, + and - for dpi and a third button under the scroll wheel that you can program to do whatever. (By default it does the same als alt-tab I believe)

But yeah, as much as I like it, it's getting old and sticky and I might have to replace it soon too. :P
Its minus dpi button thats fucked up. And since i smashed my mouse on my desk in passionate rage the left and right clicks are going as well lol. It's been a good mouse but i must move on :, (
Anyway i think the corsair one is for ne. Not as stylish as some of the logitech ones but it seems the most pratical and the one that will last me a while. Plus it has the weights which seems good

I currently have an old Logitech MX518 which has started to die. Can anyone suggest a good gaming mouse with adjustable DPI settings for under £50 ($80). I'm not too bothered about it having a billion buttons.

Cheers <3 8=====D - - - - - O:

Pretty much this. I think I only have a few people from Gmod on my facebook and they were people I either chose or they chose me because I knew they weren't cunts and they knew I wasn't either.

Ram is cheap as fuck. So it's not really a debate to save money by getting 8GB instead of 16GB. Because you would save a mere 15-30 dollars or something. I forgot the exact price for ram.

more like for 8GB RAM running at 1600Mhz its like £60-70 and double that for 16GB, which is like coming close to $100 if converted for 8GB

i really dont get why people think RAM is really cheap these days, DDR3 prices have gone way up since i got my 8GB RAM back in 2011
Agreed. RAM is not cheap. I just looked and some 16 gig Corsair Vengeance RAM is £130.50 which is $210.48 US and 165.61 Euro's.

Atm prices seem to be hovering at £120 - £160 for 16 gig DDR3.

If you're really serious about a PC that will last you for a good 3 - 5 years (with a little modding along the way, naturally) I would consider saving up a little more. I got mine for around £800 and it is decent enough to last me a few years imo. Maybe wait until you have £1000 - £1200 and really bump your specs up? I am by NO MEANS an expert or even close in these matters. All I am going off is my previous experience of being a huge fucking cheapskate and getting dissapointed >.<

Don't skimp on your PSU. With all of the money you are putting into this PC you should get a good PSU. I got myself a 750W 80+ Gold and it's good.

If you have the money, go fucking nuts. I had the money to buy a better PC but I am cheap so I didn't and now I kinda regret it. My PC is OK but not as good as I could have made it for the money I had.

Oh, and get yourself a surge protected 8 or 4-gang trailing socket just in case. My house is shit and shuts off the power if too much is being utilised and that can seriously damage your fucking shit! >.<

Never trust an antivirus claiming it has removed a virus, the first and only time I got a virus and it was claimed to have been cleaned; I wiped my whole system to remove the chance of a keylogger getting my passwords
Everything must be clean. Everything must be clean. Everything must be clean. Everything must be clean. Everything must be clean.
That shit is OCD mate! But I do understand. When I got a shitty virus a few months ago, I wiped my hard drive and changed every single password I could remember. Over the years, that is a lot of passwords!

Mate, I am fucking stoked for you. Love is the very best feeling in the world so I wish you both the best of luck.

Myself and my ex split up about 10 months ago after a two year relationship that was my first. It truly does change you doesn't it. I realised that gaming was no longer the best thing in my life and that I had something to look forward to. That I actually had a friend which I had never really had before.

Don't let shit get in your way. If things do get in your way, smash through them, listen to her, compromise and hold on to her because you WILL regret it if you don't. Never make stupid decisions in anger because you will fucking hate yourself every time you look in the mirror.

And fuck 1600 miles! It just makes it all the more special when you see her! :D

I wish you both the very best of luck and happy years to come :)

Thanks a lot bud! It's nice seeing you, btw :)

The feeling is something you know you've experienced once you've felt it. I began to realize that my feelings for her were much more meaningful to me than anything else, especially games. She's the reason for my inactivity the past year and a half, but I wouldn't want it any other way.

I promise her each and every day that no matter the struggles we go through, I will always hold on to her. I do everything I can to treat her like my princess and never forget to mention how beautiful she looks everyday. It's the little things that really do go a long way and count.
You soppy twat! ^_^
A bit of advice for moving in, because me and my ex lived together for a bit:
Make sure you have 'me' time. No, not wanking (although...)! Don't spend every waking moment together is what I mean. Once that new moved in feeling wears off, and it will believe me, you will realise how valuable alone time can be. It isn't a bad thing and doesn't mean you have a weak relationship. It's just natural and healthy to want to be alone and do your own thing sometimes.

Also CLEAN UP! Nothing worse than a woman being pissed off because you didn't do the frigging dishes or you didn't take the bins out.

And hold her head under the covers and have a massive fart every night. She will need the practice and you need to make her enjoy them. I never did this...

This is the first time I've gotten a virus.  It started a few months ago with another post I made about malware.   Something got on my computer somehow and I am having trouble getting rid of it.  I had avast but it ran out and it did not tell me it did for some odd reason.
If it's this persistant then I would just do a full wipe of the hard drive and clean install Windows. It's a pain in the arse but it will solve the problem.
