Antlions are common due to the fact they reproduce like crazy and inhabit the underground. Headcrabs are common because the Union breeds them. A lot of these other Xenian creatures are more rare due to either the enviornment (meaning they have a tough time living on Earth), or getting killed off.

I can imagine a rare incounter with a pack of old houndeyes or a bullsquid that would be intresting.

I'm sure they would all be killed off now by this time considering the environment and/or the Combine just killing them off. There may be a very very few left. If someone happened to make an authorization app for a HoundEye or BullSquid I'm sure it would create cool RP for the people in Outlands. I just hope it wouldn't get shot down instantly by some 12 year old with a 9mm.

I'm not a Outlands player, but I smell an amazing event.

Antlions are the superior xen life, however it is expected that other xen life would be wandering around. Things like headcrabs, houndeyes, bullsquids. If headcrabs, barnacles, and vorts are still around from the resonessence cascade, I don't see why the others wouldn't.

Inb4 houndeyes and bullsquids become playable.

The main problem with this is that all Xenian lifeform models with the exception of over-played headcrabs, zombies and antlions is, that they require HL1 content. CS:S content is common, HL1 / HL:S is not.

I'm sure by now someone has made some sort of playermodel mod for them.

That's sure to put some variety into HL2rp. Maybe not just Outlands. Could open a whole new door for events and experiments in city as well.

Putting the Black Mesa models into the server would be cool. I'm sure there is a lot of items that would be fun to decorate with to.
