Nexus part; 3'rd person view.

The sound of gunshots roamed throughout the plaza, as the battle went on between the rebellion citizens of City forty-five and the Combine Civil Authority attempting to keep the order. Screams in pain, anger and fear would be audible near the combatants, as shot hit their targets, penetrating flesh or Kevlar, leaving the host in a bleeding state. The civilians fought for their lives, for their freedom and for their loved. This battle were not to be lost.

Deeper inside the nexus, where few units remained hidden, scared, injured and without leadership, battles were fought between them and the attacking civilians. The hallways were flooded with blood and a couple of bodies from both sides. Chaos roamed out everywhere, as terror laughed in the shadows, devouring units and citizens in his madness. A flickering console would be found deep inside the nexus. Flicking on and off, damaged by the battles surrounding it, slowly proceeding to its primary function. A heavy sound of metal starting to move, would be audible, as a medium sized stasis pod would be dragged up from below the nexus, where the rest of the stasis pods would be. As the stasis pod slowly would be getting into position, a slight sound of air flooding out of the locked room inside of the stasis pod, would be heard getting out. Seconds after the stasis pod started opening, the console shuts off as a deep sound of an explosion shakes the entire nexus. The metallic arm, carrying the stasis pod breaks in two, dropping the stasis pod down onto the ground. As the pod strikes the ground, the rest of the stasis locks clicks off, opening up for the person inside of it.

Nexus part; 1’st person view.

She panted heavily, groaning slightly in pain as her blurry vision glared over the floor in front of her. She turned her head slightly, glaring towards the inside of the stasis pod. Slowly she started to crawl out of the container, ripping the few wires connected to her body off, which quickly send a strike of pain through her body. Falling to the ground, gasping in pain she was laying on the ground, panting heavily as she tried to calculate her position, time and her condition. Turning around onto her stomach, she placed her hands against the ground to attempt and push herself up and stand. She panted slightly in pain from aching body, caused by her chaotic awakening, as she a few minutes after finally managed to get back up on her feet’s. Stretching out in her body, she glared around the room, in an attempt to figure out what was going on. She turned around to face her damaged stasis pod, cursing for herself in pain. “Bloody stasis pod can’t even carry me anymore. I’m not THAT fat…” Slightly annoyed, her glare turned to her right, stopping at the lockers not far away from her current spot and slowly starts heading towards them, limping slightly on her left leg. She reached out, to grab onto the handle of the locker, pulling it downwards to open up for it. She reached inside to grab her uniform, sighing slightly. “I’ve got to get this suit traded for an oh-five suit. Can’t use this anymore, but can’t run around naked either.” She glared over her weapons, shaking her head as she pulled out the suit and turned around, closing the locker behind her. She wouldn’t need them anymore.

Under slight pain, she managed to get into her suit once more and click the facemask on. Stretching out her neck, chuckling slightly as a slight snap is heard. “Lovely. I’ll miss this suit.” She turns her head towards the door entrance as the mask HUD slowly starts to turn on, notifying her about her current health state. Her left leg were slightly injured, yet nothing serious. She smiled lightly at her luck, thinking about what could have happened during the time she got out of the pod. She glared down over her suit, pressing a slight button in. She takes a deep breath, as a slight hissing sound is audible coming from her left shoulder, as a health kit’s medical help would be implanted into her body. Nodding cautiously for herself, she starts heading towards the entrance doors and glares over her HUD. A smaller icon indicated a problem was going on with her radio. She shrugged for herself, probably static she decided, as she strolled out on the empty hallway. Her eyebrows raised at the view which met her. Blood were everywhere, units were laying on the grounds with no weapons. Scattered bullet casings were here and there, mixed up with… Civilians?! What was going on? She continued walking down the hallway, nearing the Hand to hand combat room and slowly started to be eavesdrop on a few conversations. The persons speaking didn’t have their voices covered with a vocoder. Holding her breath, she sneaked up to lean against the wall, to get a better ‘look’ into what the persons were talking about.
“This is going well. Can’t believe we actually made it!”
“Don’t get too happy. This place won’t stay for long and neither will we. Now bloody help me get this guy’s suit off. I want one of those.”

Shaking her head, she knew the persons inside were indeed not friendly. In her current position, she wouldn’t be much of a threat. Injured and without weapons she would possible only be able to give them a slap across their cheeks before her body would be full of bullets. Glaring over towards the other side of the door, she wondered about her chances to get to the other side, without getting seen. The chances could be both high and low, considering which way the person w- Movement! Steps were getting closer to the doors, as were the two person’s voices. She quickly glared down the hallway, to search for any place to cover.

The two males got out from the room, looking down to each sides looking for any targets. “Told ya boy, nothing is out here.” “I am sure I heard something walk around… Guess it was just my imagination.” He pointed towards one of the unit bodies, as his left eyebrow raised. “Hey, was that… Thing laying over there before? I can’t remember.” “Meh, I don’t know. Looks like a high ranked unit though, not that casual suits like everyone got. Maybe it got some bullets.” The two males headed towards the body, continuing their chattering.

She stared directly at them, happy they couldn’t see she were alive due to her masks. Her muscles started to prepare for the oncoming ambush as the two males neared her body. Just a little more…

Chuckling lightly by the joke, he kneeled down next to the body. “Hey boy, look! It’s apparently a woman we’ve got her.” She reached out, running his hand down along the body’s torso. “Yup, defiantly a woman.” He reached out towards the female’s pockets, searching through them to find any goods inside of them. He looked up towards his friend, Henrik at the same time. “Can’t really seem to find anything in this one.” “Hey Paul… Why’s there no bullet holes in her?” Paul turns his stare back towards the unit, looking over her Kevlar. “Now you’re sa-“.

Her hand reached for his throat, easily grabbing around it and quickly tightening her grab. Her heart rate quickly went faster, staring onto the SMG the other male, named Henrik. Holding the guy named Paul in her left hand, choking him slowly she thought about her chances, during the few seconds. In a slow-paced moment, she saw the guy raise his SMG and take aim. She laid all her strength into her left arm, halfway throwing, halfway pushing the guy she held in her hand, towards the standing male. Barely successfully, Paul’s body stroke into Henrik’s legs and made him loose his balance slightly, yet not pushing him over. Seeing her chance, she quickly got up on her legs, setting off from the ground, aiming towards Henrik’s chest. As she did, the thought hit her. “I was too late.” The exploding sound, repeating after each other’s, rung down the hallway as the SMG went off, sending several bullets around, in the tight spaced spot. A few bullets penetrated through her suit and into her flesh while others barely missed. Milliseconds after, she made contact with Henrik’s torso and effectively pushed him onto his back. Panting heavily and with tears streaming down her cheeks beneath her mask, she reached out to grab hold of his head. Placing a hand on his chin and forehead, she quickly turned his head to its right, barely hearing the loud snap being audible coming from his neck under her panting. With her vision blurry, she turned onto her back, reaching out for the SMG in Henrik’s hands. Coughing heavily, she turned her aim towards Paul, who would be laying on his stomach, barely conscious. In rage she pressed the trigger in, firing multiple bullets into his back and first stopped when clicking sounds remained back in the hallway.

Panting heavily, she quickly reached up to her facemask to click it off, with a slight hissing sound being audible as she let it fall to the ground. Looking over her body, she briefly took note of where she was hit. She weren’t a Support unit, but at least she knew it wasn’t dangerous spots she were hit in. Two had went into her right shoulder, one had passed through her flesh on her right side and out again, while the last one had penetrated into her right thigh. Sighing slightly, embraced over her luck she glared over her left shoulder to look at the implanted health kit. Still a bit back in it, possible would be able to hinder the pain. She would need some bandages though. Briefly pressing the button in, she glared over the hallway, while the last potion of the health kit was implanted into her body. The hallway remained in the ice cold and deadly silence matching perfectly with the dead bodies lying here and there. A suit, which one of the units were wearing, caught her attention. Wasn’t that a Support uniform? She pushed herself back up on her feet’s, limping slightly heavy towards the body before she fell down on her knees, next to the unit. Sighing slightly, she reached over the body, grabbing hold of the medium sized bag, hanging on the belt. Crossing her fingers in her mind, she ripped the bag open. Ammunition and a few bandages fell to the ground as the bag was ripped in a half. Not caring about anything else, than the bandages, she reached out to grab hold of them and dragged them out of the bundle, holding them in her left hand. She pushed herself back up, leaning against the wall and leaned onto her left leg. Happy of the health kit dose, she slowly opened back up for her suit and slide it off. The cold temperature quickly stroke her halfway naked body, easily making her freeze. Ignoring the cold, she slowly started to rip the bandage packet open, glaring down the hallway to be sure no one was coming. Slowly reaching up to her right shoulder, gasping briefly in pain as she started to wrap the bandage around the wound. After having it wrapped around a few times, she ripped the bandage bundle off what she had already covered up, quickly making a smaller knob with it. She turned her view downwards, looking over her body and stopped at the wound on her right side. Sighing slightly, she once more started wrapping the bandage around her torso, to cover up the wound, slight tears running down her cheeks in pain. Once more, ripping the bandage off and tying a knob on it, she finished off with wrapping the last wound on her thigh up. That would stop the bleeding for now. She reached back down, slipping back into her suit to cover herself up once more. The automatic suit temperature modification didn’t take long to make her feel warm again as she started moving down the hallway. She had to get out.

Few minutes passed, while she went down the hallways, expecting every moment to be in a battle, yet the hallways kept being silent. As she went down the hallways, she forced herself to stare out in front of her, in pain by seeing the dead units while she slowly approached the logistic APC garage. The door automatically opened up for her, as she approached it and the smell of blood and fuel filled the air around her. Fighting her stomach, she managed to hold off an embarrassing moment for herself as she went inside the larger room. Nothing were as she remembered it. APC’s were destroyed to pieces, either on their way out or on their parking spots. The ground was filled with bullet casings and bodies from both sides. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath before she went down the stairs, heading towards the control room. A thought stroke into her mind, as she went past one of the bodies on the ground. She couldn’t walk out in a S0 uniform… Glaring over the bodies, she decided to take a woman, merely around her own height, with her inside the control room, stripping her off her clothes and her backpack. While she once more got out of her own suit, she glared around for something to cover up her eyes. Cursing over her own modifications while she sled into the female’s worn clothes, covering up her body and stuffed her uniform into the backpack. No way was she leaving without it. As she went back outside of the control room, a body of an old man caught her eyes. He had a pair of glasses on, covering his eyes. It wasn’t a standard uniform he was carrying, could she see. At least it wasn’t a citizen uniform. Slowly shrugging, she went over towards the body and knelt down to grab hold of the glasses, placing them on her own head to cover up her eyes. Possible this would do it. She got up once more, stepping over the bodies as she went towards the elevator. Hopefully it would work. She pressed the button in, while she stood up on the elevator, waiting for it to go up. Seconds after, a deep mechanical sound were audible, as the elevator starting moving upwards. Her heart rate started going faster as she got further and further up, expecting the worst. The garage entrance door was empty though. Heading forward, towards the doors to the garage, her expectations went further and further on, closing her eyes as her hand met the button to the door mechanism.

City part; 3'rd person view.

Shots were fired, small glimpse of the weapons barrels were visible as the bullets left them. The battle had sought down towards the beginning of P3. A small figure of a person, sliding out of a smaller gap in the Nexus garage doors would be seen, heading down the road, towards the embassy. It would seem to be in a haste as it disappeared into the shadows of the city tunnels. At the embassy, cheering citizens would be seen, flooding out of the building carrying weapons in their hands. The figure slowly makes its way out of the tunnel shadows and over the road, seeking towards the P3 entrance. A yell, coming from one of the citizens near the embassy is directed towards the figure, yet the person seems to waved off by the figure as it went inside of precinct three. A second yell is heard coming from the group, as what would appear to be a few males sprinting after the figure, closing in the distance to precinct three entrance quickly. Just as they turn around the corner to search for the figure, it would appear to be gone. Vanished into the air. Down below in the sewers, the figure would be seen sprinting through the water, gasping heavily for air as it makes its way through, towards the end of the sewers. Towards a new beginning or possible the end.

What will these authorizations give your character in regards to perks or defects?
Perks
-The ability to understand and collect information about Outlands anti-civil activity.
-Better survivability due to her suit.

Defects
-She might be considered a rogue unit.
-She’ll be in constant danger. Doubt anyone in Outlands will take kindly to a previous S0 unit.
-Weaponless. The only thing she have to protect herself is her damaged suit.
-Due to not having any kind of treatment, the bullets is still in her body and can therefore irritate or prevent some of her actions.
-She forgot her facemask in the nexus, leaving her without a HUD and nothing to cover up her head.
-Being used to UU food, she would find it hard to find anything to eat in Outlands.

What do you plan to do with these perks/defects?
Just spice up my own passive rp, to rp in a new way. Seeing it's an unsafe zone, in my own opinion, it'll be fun to RP 270 confused and slightly scared of her surroundings.
I’ve got no plans about going Rambo in outlands to kill everyone. More likely stay hidden and try to gain contact to the CCA again.

Will anyone else need these auths? (If so, list OOC and IC name(s))
Not really.

Which server does this apply for?
Outlands.

Extra Notes (optional):
No, she isn’t a rogue unit. She’s still loyal, but due to her condition and the lack of technology she requires, she’s not able to regain connection to the CCA.
Of course you can say handheld radios could be used, but I’ve got my doubts that they have the range for such things. And as I know, due to my OTA experience, the OTA is using another frequency than the city one, so she won’t be able to contact them either, unless she gain the frequency in some impossible way.
On a sidenote; This is what glasses looks like.

Edit 1: Made a bit space between some of the 'blocks of text', to add some more 'eye candy' for people like "Made man". Added a single defect, pointed out in a navy color.

Introductions / The lie and the truth.
« on: February 16, 2013, 07:29:04 AM »
Alright guys.

Some of you might have noticed, how not long ago I simple 'vanished' from the administrator team and the servers.
The answer is simple; I couldn't stand "Catalyst gaming."
At least, that was what my brain told me, but that wasn't the exact reason. The reason I left, was because of one big lie, which I couldn't stand anylonger.
In these last two years I've been in CG, everyone have known me as "Lola the CG girl". A few now knows the truth about who I am.
I couldn't stand that lie anymore so I decided to quit and get out as it have caused me more problems than I could of imagined.

The truth is, I'm a simple boy, simple minded and whatnot. No, I'm not gay if you're believing that.
Spoiler for Hiden:

That is the real me. My name is Kenni and I'm 16 years old. Big surprise.
One of the big questions I know is coming, would probably be;

"Why did you lie about being a girl?"
Well, in the stat it actually started out for fun. It wasn't meant to be a long standing lie, which it ended up with. In the start, where I wasn't that known to CG, some people asked about my gender when they saw my female unit walk around. Just to have fun, I said I was a girl. Before I even knew, this lie had spread all over the HL2RP community and I was now known as a girl.
At that time being, I would have told the truth about myself so get out of it again, if not what happened a bit later.
Kronic confronted me and asked if I'd like admin. Eager to get the chance to help people on the server, I said yes but were too afraid to say I was a boy, believing I could loose the position once more.
Due to being afraid and ashamed I couldn't stand telling the lie to anyone after that so I kept the lie going till the moment I quitted.

I admit, a few knew about the truth about me, before I left CG. I wont say their names, but if they feel like it they can tell it themselfs.

CG have given me a hard times, sometimes but who doesn't? A few months before I left CG I broke down. I couldn't stand the lie anymore so I talked to one of the very few persons who I trusted the most. I told him the lie, told him I was going to quit and get out, yet he convinced me to stay. So I stayed a few months more, before I once more broke down and quitted CG without warning.

I convinced myself about, the CG community wasn't my place anymore. I told myself, I couldn't stand all the drama, yet that wasn't the truth. Now, after finally telling the truth, I feel a bit better yet it doesn't cover up my actions the past 2 years.
If I'm not wrong, it wouldn't surprise me if someone is going to flame / rage / get mad at me for this lie, which I honestly doesn't care about.
I might not be trusted that much anymore, which I do understand and I fully support if anyone doesn't.

Yet, I've tried to continue my life outside CG, playing a few games here and there. It was horrible boring and I miss the times I've had on CG, which have made me return and tell the truth. I'll start playing again on the servers, possible as my 'dangerous enviroment' characters on HL2RP, seeing my CCA units have been banned.

If anyone do have any questions, I'll gladly answer to all of them, either over PM or steam. As long as it isn't flame, rage, troll or spam.

That would be all from me and I'll just stay in the back from now on.

Half-Life 2 Roleplay / Regarding "act muscle" in console.
« on: January 07, 2013, 02:50:28 AM »
Don't. Do. It.

It shouldn't be less clear to people and common sense not to do it. It will ruin the immersion of the roleplay and therefore it has now been forbidden after speaking with Jonco and KillmePlz.
IF you're caught using the "act muscle" you'll either get a kick or a ban. This thread counts as a warning, so you've recieved one already, before you do it. Do not expect ingame warning, as this will count as your first and only warning.
This does especially count towards units doing so and you will recieve punishment if seen doing it.
Once again, I can't say anything else, that this is common sense to know and I'm highly disappointed that, I have to make this thread, to make people understand.

If you fail to see this thread, that's your own fault.

They're reinstated and back in business.
Got an authorization application waiting, since the servers went down? You're now able to post them!
Same counts for Outland appeals, CCA / CWU / Vortigaunt applications!

Enjoy den- Accepteance. :)

Edit: Unsticking this, since there's no more use for it. It was only a 'news letter' for when Auth Apps got back up.

Watch the movie.

I would love to see citizens, panick like that if something threatened their lives. It's the basic; The strongest survives and nothing else.
It shows A LOT how humans react, when they know their lives is threatened and it's either them or another person.
An afraid person does everything, struggling to survive, even if he / she have to kill.

**A divisional leader uniform is seen, sitting down on a chair, in a dark room. Around the unit, several consoles and a single robot is visible. A small click is heard, as the facemask is clicked off and placed on a table, out of sight.
A pale skinned female is visible as she runs a hand through her dark blond hair. Her eyes are a hazel colored, yet they seem cold and shows no pain. Her voice appears to be cold, yet still slightly soft. A small Danish accent hangs in, as she speaks. **

<::|| First log… What should I say…? Oh well, been a hard week, if I should say it like that way… Not because it has taken my physical strength, but well. I’ve lost what? Three bloody damned good units and for what reason? Their own bloody stupidity!
The first unit, were that dumb to point a 9mm pistol, towards a high commanding unit.
The second and third unit… I was surprised they were that dumb… They actually went down in the sewers, just to hunt a bloody necrotic?
First of all, one of those units was of high command! I couldn’t believe it went I saw it… If it wasn’t enough, I promoted him earlier that day and he promised me not to fail me… Couple of hours later, he’s lying dead on the floor…
And the most annoying part for me was that we were to receive materials for a synth dropship. A nice droppod, I’ve spoken with city sixty-eight about, if were able to build it for them.
GRID isn’t like back in the old days… My units are dying, due to their stupidity. And I barely have enough, to build the droppod now.
The materials are now stuffed away in the garage, till I can get enough units to start building on it, inclusive myself. I hope I’ll get them soon enough, or else it’s just going to be me and a few units, who are still active.
Oh-five-oh seems active again and yet I haven’t seen him for a couple of days now… I’ll make sure his punishment is going to be harsh, if I find him sleeping around or running around as civilian. No doubt, it’s going to be harsh…
Oh well, I believe I found the said necrotic, during a quick search over our “not used camera’s” placed around the city. It appears to be hiding around in the sewers, probably using the old storage room… I remember an old headcrab canister malfunction, where they stroked down upon our precinct. Perhaps there is one in the sewers somewhere… I need to get the sectorial commanders authorization to go check it out…
For a safety reason, I made the camera capture a screenshot of said necrotic. It’s now stored away in our database.
The last thing, in my mind is what the UED unit came up with. I’m apparently getting accused, for committing UPA with commander oh-three-one-oh-nine. Just because I followed his orders and took a coffee break with him, on his orders.
Perhaps I should get away from the serious stuff… I’ve found myself a hobby. It appeared, it were more fun to throw citizens off the roof, instead of shooting them. That way, I also spare on my ammunition. Perhaps, there’s a bit blood here and there, but who cares? Oh well, the loyalists do, so they can get their points and became a civil protection unit themselves… I doubt I was like them, when I was to join… I hope I wasn’t.
No matter, that’s long ago… ||::>

**The female unit reaches out for the facemask again, clicking it back on. A cold robot voice is audible, as it leaves the facemask, the Danish accent can still be heard through it.**

“I’ve got to get me something new to wear, instead of this old vest...”
Vileria was inside P3, walking around in the streets, looking around for something to wear. In the distance, she could see an old, crumbled cardboard, getting picked up by the freezing wind and blown upwards, above the buildings.
“There goes that jacket.” She thought for herself.
She wandered deeper inside of P3, keeping herself on alert. No one would ever know, what could happen in here or… Who were in here? Rapists, muggers, murderers. Every single one of those, were in here. The question was just... Who would they be and where would they be?
She crossed her arms across her chest, shivering heavily in the cold wind, looking around for a place, where she could fin cover. She looked up, watching the sky. Dark clouds, which wasn’t good. The thought about catching ill, wasn’t the best one, she had on mind, so she kept going.
“Perhaps the old canals… The dark room might create a slight cover… At least for the rain, if it comes.”
She turned around on her heels, starting to walk the other way around, lost in her thoughts. A sudden object, blocking her way, came across her. She looked up, seeing an older male. His outfit was like hers. He had an old, dusty city forty-five jumpsuit, with a few scratches here and there. But the smell, coming from him, was the worst. He smelled like fish… Rotten fish.
She looked him over, clutching her hands. Something was wrong… Terrible wrong.
“Well, hello there… Young… Lady… Why are you outside here… All alone?”
“None of your business, get out of my way.”
She attempted to push him out of her way, though he kept on standing.
“Quick, are we? No time, to chat with an old man?”
“No, I don’t. I’m busy, leave me.”
“All right then. Take care of yourself, would ya?”
The male stepped to his left, allowing her to pass as he spoke the last words.
Perhaps she was too quick? No, rather quick than too slow, no one could know what he was intending to do.
A cold, freezing wind, got blown through the tunnels, striking Vileria in the face, as if it were a punch. She grinned her teeth’s, clutching her hands into fists. A fire, that’s what she needed. Or perhaps an apartment? How would she love one. Just to lie in a bed and relax, in one of the apartments in precinct one.
She kept on going, slightly in a jogging tempo, as she walked through the tunnels. Voices. She could hear voices, coming from the end of the tunnel.
A male and a female, discussing about something. Well, not her problem, theirs. She walked past them, easily seeing they were highly frustrated. Perhaps it was about tokens? She didn’t care, she just wanted to get some cover.
“Finally… The canals, bloody damn on time.” She mumbled for herself.
She went around the canals, towards the stairs and grabbed onto it. The feeling of cold, freezing metal, went straight through her cloth gloves. She bit her lower lip, attempting to make the pain cover the chilling feel.
As she lowered herself down into the canal, the smell of rusty iron, mixed up with the smell of rotten food items, oil, water and other things, she couldn’t even set names on, were catching up in her nose.
When she came all the way down, she turned to her left, reaching downwards to her belt and clipped the flashlight off it, turning it on.
The flashlight came to life, flickering heavily, lightening the darkness up.
She went straight towards the dark area, making the flashlight light up her path. Inside, she looked around. At least, she was in cover from the rain and she could perhaps use one of the pipes as cover from the wind. A bedroll could be used now, but whatsoever. She could survive without for the time being.
She looked around, lightening the area up. An old, dusty lead pipe caught her eye. What did this thing do down here? Perhaps some idiot had broken it off the showers, inside the Union Civil housing. Well, it could be useful for self-defense.. She turned around on her heels, looking outside.
“Sun is setting… Might just make it comfortable for now.”
She went towards one of the pipes, crawling inside. She turned her flashlight back off, clipping it to her belt, looking around the pipe. It wasn’t as much comfortable as she had imagined. It was cold and dirty. Insects were crawling around on its inside. She could easily feel them against her skin, as they went beneath her cloths.
“This is going to be a terrible night.” She thought, a small tear appearing in her eyes.

The next morning, she woke up bathing in sweat. What a terrible dream she had, had. The first second, she was with her family. The next, she saw their death over and over again.
She closes her eyes, attempting to forget it again.
She crawled back outside of the pipe, looking to her right, towards the entrance of the room. It seemed sunny. Perhaps it could be a good day? She went straight towards the ladder, crawling back up. Perhaps the male came from down there. She didn’t smell that well anymore… If she even did before. A bath would be needed and she could only get that in one place. The Universial Civil Housing in precint one.
The rail tracks would be the best idea, no one would see her coming from there. A unit could perhaps block her way, at that stupid hard point.
She went back inside, deeper into precinct three, walking along the streets to the old train station.
As she walked, she memorized the old car van, which had some old destroyed wheels. Useful, she could make some fine gloves out of them, though they would perhaps not keep her hands THAT warm. Well, better than nothing.. She headed directly for the old car van, slightly jogging her way there. On the way, she saw people starting to come out of the bar, having beers in their hands. Of course. Partied the entire night, what should she expect?..
At the car van, she looked around herself, before she reached down for the destroyed wheels. Yes, these tires would make some fine gloves.
She looked around the van, looking for anything else, worthy enough to scavenge. The car engine perhaps? She walked in front of the car, looking down inside of, where the engine should had been. Nothing, except a small battery and a few wires. She shrugged slightly for herself, before she reached out and grabbed both of the items. Perhaps she could trade them, or… She quickly stuffed the items into her backpack, running around the van, grabbing the wheel and started to roll it off to the apartments.
A plan went through her head, as she ran beside of the rolling idea. A nice plan perhaps? If it were able to work, she would have a nice self-defense weapon.

List the perks these authorizations will give you.
+Improved self-defense.
+Improved intimidating.
+Passive rp, to make the pipe work.

List the defects these authorizations will give you.
-Lead pipe would be visible. Too big to hide = Would easy be found during a char search. (CCA.)
-Slightly bigger, than a normal weapon = Heavier. She would have to hide the pipe at a place, if she wanted to enter plaza. Meanwhile it could be found.
-If not wearing the gloves, she would get electricity shocks herself.
-May malfunction sometimes.
-Would have to find batteries, for the pipe to work.

What do you plan to do with these perks/defects and the authorization?
Just a smaller hand weapon, to use in self-defense and perhaps intimidating people.
I’m not going to use it, to mug people, as I see no need for it.

Will anyone else need these auths? (If so, list OOC and IC name(s))
No one.

Sex: Female
Age: 24

How long have you been in City45:
I've only been in City forty-five in a few days, as I got here together with a friend, for about three to five days ago.
I've looked around the town, but haven't been inside the area called District-six, due to a few rumors about rebels.
For now, I've lived inside the building for citizens, apparently called the UCH.
I've bought myself an apartment, on the first floor, with a clear sight on our protectors.

Why do you want to join the CWU?:
I've seen the great work, which the Civil Workers Union delivers to us, every day.
They are my idols, due to, they are helping our new benefactors.
My biggest wish is to help our benefactors the best way I can, also helping the citizens, of course.
I've seen how much pain; several citizens are walking around with, such as smaller to bigger wounds.
Due to that, I would appreciate, if I were allowed inside, what the Civil Workers Union, apparently calls for the medical division.

Have you ever been detained before?(If so why):
I haven't been detained before, as I stay out of trouble and outside district-six.
I'm trying to keep myself on low profile, as I'm not one of those people, who loves big attraction / attention.

Past experience with work/labor:
I was studying on medical, before our benefactors came with their new technology.
I was with a smaller study group, consisting of some of my friends.
I haven't performed an operation yet, though I will love to see how it was done, by a professional.

Tell us about what you can do.:
I could help inside the medical division, if I were allowed in, to help injured citizens, with my expertise.
I can clean and keep a wound healthy, so no infections occurs inside of it.

If a citizen asks for help and is new to the city, what would you do?:
I would tell the citizen about our rules, inside city fourty-five and show him around the city.
I would tell him where to live, inside the UCH, where to go, where to buy and so on.
I would tell him about, why not to go inside district-six and tell him about the rebels inside.
As the last, I would tell him about our great benefactors, our protectors and the staff of the Civil Workers Union.

Character Backstory:
Paulina lived in a small city named; Slagelse, before the seven hour war.
Here, she was studying medical technology / science, on a small gymnasium, named “Selandia.”
Together with her friends, she had fun, studying the human body, looking through the bones and different muscles, consisted in the human body.
She was in the end of her studies, when a sudden Voice ran over the radio.
“We are here, at the local shopping market, where a sudden large shell appeared. There’s been reporting of it, suddenly fell down from the sky. This is apparently some sort of a new alien species, in a small form of metallic shell. We don’t know yet, if they are hostile or friendly. The end of the shell is opening now and what seems as a small spider is crawling out… One of our police officer, approaches is slowly and qui- OH god, it jumped on him, somebody help him! More of them are coming out, get people out of here, ru-“
A large, screeching sound comes from the radio, as it suddenly turns off.

Paulina went outside with her friend, terrified of what they’ve just heard. In the sky, they can see several, small, white skies, as the ground shakes. More of the shells are ramming the earth…
Slightly after, something which seems as a flying turtle, carrying, what seems as a tripod, flies down from the sky, placing the tripod on the ground.
A large emitting sound, of what sounds as an animal screaming, runs through the air, as the tripod begins to move.
Around the tripod, the air seems to be dragged towards underneath, of what seems as it heads. A large explosion can be heard, as a suddenly, blue beam, gets shot out from a cannon beneath the tripod and several houses collapses.
Paulina screams as she runs inside Selandia, with her friends.
Outside, they can hear the tripod move around, emitting more of those loud voices. A suddenly explosion makes the entire building shake, as it begins to collapse. Paulina and her friends, attempts to run back outside, but get caught inside, though some of her friends made it outside. Paulina is on the second to go unconscious, but manage to see her friends get penetrated of what seems as one of the tripods feet.

When Paulina wakes up again, she can see her friend, lying dead all around her, crushed to death by the heavy stones of the building. Her own life is in danger, as her left foot is nearly crushed beneath a wall.

Paulina manages to pull her outside of the destroyed building, seen the dead bodies of her friends who made it out. She falls to her knees vomiting on the ground, crying. She manages to get herself up, looking around for nearby help… Everything is destroyed. Not a single soul can be seen around her, as she humbles down the street. Destroyed, burning cars and collapsed buildings, Surrounds her, as she moves longer down the road.
A friendly voice can suddenly be heard.
“Hey, over here, let me help you!”
“W-who are you?” Paulina is barely managing to keep her up, as she speaks to the stranger.
“A friend, here lay down.” He shows her a mattress she can rest on. She sits down with a loud sigh, falling into a deep sleep.

When Paulina wakes up again, she’s in some sort of an apartment, looking around for her familiar friend.
As soon as she wakes, she can nearly taste the smell of hot, well prepared food. Her stomach begins to rumble, as she searches for the food.
“Relax, it’s here.” He gives her a small plate with pasta on, sitting down next to her.
Paulina quickly begins to eat from the food, enjoying every single piece.
“Well, I’m not going to stop you from eating, but what’s your name?”
“Paulina… Paulina Tannickson.”
“My pleasure. I’m Tommy Dorring.” He answers kindly.
“You see, Paulina. Meanwhile you’ve been asleep, earth got attacked and conquered, only in a few hours… 6-8, if I shouldn’t be wrong.” He lets out a smaller sigh.
“Not too far away from here, there should be a city, beginning to be established. Would you like to join me?”
“Sure Tommy. Thanks for the food and your kindness towards me.”
“No problem, miss.”
When Paulina finishes eating, she walks outdoors with Tommy, as they search for an ‘okay’ car they can use, to cover the long distance.
As soon as they find one, they drive off to a new city, with new rules and new benefactors.
For what Paulina doesn’t know, is that she soon will forget her past, as she comes inside of her new hometown, named; C45….

Half-Life 2 Roleplay / Macros / bind keys, how to make those?
« on: February 14, 2012, 11:17:31 AM »
Hey there.
When I'm playing I usually see's other units have a binded key / macros, which give them an advantage and makes the roleplay a little faster.
Like: "Unit >digits< raises his stunstick, flicking it on. A sound of electricity sounds in the air"

How can I make a bind for some thing like that? ^^^^^^^
I know I need to write in console: Bind >key< say /me (or something like that) to make it work, but it won't allow me.
Could anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? :)
