Please add a rule that says you can only post spoilers with the spoiler tag. I'm watching Game of Thrones and I don't want some stupid fuck to ruin it for me, I'm only on season 3. Also make it against the rules in the Shoutbox. I think we can all agree that this would be beneficial.

So far some games such as TF2 are cross platform, people on Windows and OSX can play together, but when can we expect such things to go mainstream? What about cross platform for PC to Xbox/PS(I dunno if it's possible, I don't know much 'bout it)? Discuss anything and everything crossplatform.

So currently I have the iPhone4s but with all the bullshit apple is trying to pull with it's charger and now audio(you have to buy your earplugs from Apple...fucking stupid) along with the stupid prices. I'm thinking about getting an Android phone. I don't really know much about them so I'm curious which one is the "best"? I just want something that's all around good.

So basically I'm trying to learn how to code and I've been following Youtube tutorials on how to run a dedicated server so I can put my gamemode on it and test it out. The problem is that whenever I run it, the gamemode won't like play. It says "Game: Base Gamemode" and not "Game: Example"(I named my gamemode example. I then found an error in the console whenever I join and it says
"[cow|2|STEAM_0:1:54217608] Lua Error:
Couldn't include file 'shared.lua' (File not found) (@gamemodes/example/gamemode/cl_init.lua (line 1))"
Could this be the issue? How do I fix it?

I know really basic Python and basic HTML but aside from that, I don't know much about coding. I'd like to learn about how to code for GarrysMod LUA but I'm not sure where to start or what resources I should go to in order to learn. Perhaps once I get a grip on it I could help code for CG?

So after thinking about it for a little bit, I was curious what would be the most similar AMD CPU to the 4770k in terms of power. I'm deadset on Intel but if I feel like AMD would be better, then I'll go AMD. I don't really know shit about AMD CPU's/GPU's so if someone could post some similar AMD CPU's to the 4770k that would be great.

If you don't know, recently Ukraine underwent riots in their capitol city of Kiev. The rioters then took over the government and created a new government, which NATO(and more specifically the US) supports as they didn't like the old leader since he had close ties with the President of Russia. Quickly after Ukraine was falling apart, Russia swooped in and began to go into Crimea claiming that it was lawful due to some laws that were passed decades ago(Had to do with Russia protecting it's territory/allies/whatever). Eventually, some Ukrainians voted to leave Russia. After some time of Russia running around in Crimea and taking over Naval Bases, Russia voted to annex Crimea back into their territory. Since then, Russian supporters and Russian Military have been disarming any Ukrainian military vehicles or personel. Due to all the recent turmoil, more and more Ukrainians have been voting to be independent of Ukraine(and I'd assume join Russia). The US is getting angry about it, Russia is happy that they are taking back Crimea, and Ukraine is divided on the whole thing.
Russia is using psychological warfare and will most likely win this war--Without having to fire a single bullet.
Please discuss your thoughts on the issue.

So I got new ram. It's the corsair vengeance 2x8 (16gb). I placed it into the DIMM slots, same slots my old ram was in, and when I ran my computer it would basically freeze at the motherboard logo/loading screen before windows popped up. I then took out one of the sticks and ran my computer. It would then have a popup saying something happened and gave me an option to run some test for windows to try and fix it. It would then have windows load for like 3 seconds(while frozen on it) and then BSOD. I tried using the other stick and I got the same problem.
I'm going to put in my old ram and see what happens...could I just have a defective unit?

No need for a whole lot of explanation. Add client-sided cross hairs so you can choose to have them or not, it would be very useful when trying to look at someone's description from afar or aiming.

I am curious as to what everyone at CG uses for Anti-Virus and what they recommend. Please don't tell me "use common sense" as I already know this, I'd just like to know what you guys think is a good and reliable antivirus. Free or not doesn't matter to me. Norton is already off the list for potential antivirus'es though.
