is there a reason that, even though you have an incredibly well overclock-able cpu and a watercooler you choose not to overclock it?

it doesnt really shortern lifespan that much if you know what you're doing

it was meant to stevo but now i read it applies for u both too, just dunno why you'd get watercooled + an unlocked cpu n then not overclock lol

I didn't get the FX8350 for overclock, it was primarily for running threaded applications and development at the time I bought it, and you can't get a "locked" version of the FX8350

The reason I used a H100i is because I like my PC being cool, CPU runs around 30c when maxed out - My old setup used to run around 58-68c which I didn't find comfortable for my likings.

The cooler you keep your CPU, the longer it is going to last. transistors also work better when cool (also lowers the activation voltage - not that it matters)

My whole system runs at 105W when idle.

Get a 280x or a 290x. Dont crossfire the 270, from what I've seen it's not the best idea.

Hold old were they? Most GPUs these days have 2 years warranty minimum on them.

total shame, it's totally worth a check though to see if you could get anything on warranty, you might be lucky, you never know.
