Title: Why not?
Post by: chunkeymonkey79 on September 20, 2011, 06:35:07 PM
Instead of remaking C45, why not just remake C18? I haz the original .vmf for that as well. C18 just needs a few polishes and it's a different map.

So...who wants?

There's a program that allows you to extract a .bsp to .vmf.
So, what map do you want would be the question.

That causes the map to break. I have the original .vmf that is not decompiled.

Either map is good. Whichever would be better I suppose. I personally would rather be on C45, but you are the maker.

No there's several programs, this one actually worked. I tried it myself.

Well I still don't need it, I have the original .vmf that isn't a decompile.

EDIT: If you think about it, even one small change, like skybox will cause it to be a custom map. Minges see it and they're like, do I relaly want to DL this map just to troll?

I say C45.
C18 is just stupid, and C45 has way more awesome stuff in it that you can use to RP with.

Retro Is in the process of creating a map, it's based in a desert environment and it looks highly detailed and well thought out. I'd suggest giving this map a go, as the Idea he is going for is something unique and that has not been used before. It will harvest all the quality role-players we want on the server, as it involves more passive and something which involves the citizens constantly.

I know he's making a map, I was going to use C45 or C18 until he was done.

What about...
Outlands?
Fix up that map, I can easily decompile you a .vmf, working.

Well, what's the program that you use that can supposedly decompile maps without breaking the areaportals or lights? I'd like to know for future reference.

You can see the header, or the name of the program.
But I replied the download link in the PM.
