Half-Life 2 Roleplay / Re: 'Amputation' pking
« on: October 09, 2011, 03:17:56 PM »
Gentlemen, no need for the hostility. I am merely wishing to have a intelligent reasonable discussion about some things I have been seeing.

I understand that on the list of violations that running is a level 3 malcompliance, however does every case of running(some cases I have seen citizens merely turning around and getting knocked out and dragged to the Nexus and I see a 'x character was banned' message) have to result in PKing? I see some people that have been around developing their characters get PKed on the whim of some 02. I am merely discussing that perhaps this radical degree of action does not need to be taken.

Half-Life 2 Roleplay / 'Amputation' pking

I don't know what the situation is when I see a 04 taking a citizen in for minor things and if he so much as turns around he gets knocked out and dragged to the Nexus, but so far the time I have been on Catalyst Gaming(which is not much I will admit) I have seen atleast 5 PK's. This is unacceptable in my opinion. I did not want to put this in suggestions because I want an actually discussion on this topic, but feel free to move it anyway.

Lately I have been seeing 04's and 03's beating citizens for littering or some other minor offense and if they 'resist arrest' being dragged into the Nexus and amputated. Really Civil Protection? You know there is something called reprogramming available, you don't have to kill them let alone the fact its counter productive to have a workforce you kill for minor stuff.

Just saying, chill with the PK's. Whats the damn point in developing my character if when a CP feels like it he can take 3 weeks of work away?

This is good, I have noticed that 04's and even 03's come out of RcT training as poorly trained, citizen brutalizing machines.

You people do realize 03 and even 04 'models' are citizens in uniforms with minor physical augmentations, communications augmentations and some minor reprogramming. I see 04's going around shooting people and pking(this is another issue that needs to be resolved, I noticed 03's taking people in the Nexus for minor things and the next thing I know there is a PK alert.) citizens left and right.

Manually delete it and check your registry with regedit for anything pertaining to APB. Chances are something logged in the registry causing this.

There is no superdumb questions. I work at a computer repair shop and regularly I have people come in asking why the computer wont start, and proceed to flip the PSU's switch to On. It does not bring me any satisfaction to ridicule them(though I never did). There is only douche answers.

Good, he stole software from other companies and required money from Microsoft to keep active. His 'innovations' were already around, he just marketed them properly.
