I've been using my pair of Turtle Beach X12's, and I have been happy with the result.

However I heard a lot of conflicting comments about it. I heard that Seinnhesier headsets are much better.

Do you guys have any recommendations? Any headsets that are maybe under 80$.

I recommend these:

For the price I can understand why you would't buy them, but they are the ones I use now. And here is the Razer website for their other Audio gear: http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-audio/

Any products that I've bought from razer have always been bad. I use to have a keyboard and like half the keys wouldn't even work. I got a headset and in broke really quickly. I have like 3 Logitech products, my keyboard is one of them. I've had it for about ~2 years and it works as if it was brand new. Logitech as really good quality products from my past experiences, and I would recommend it to anyone.

The headset I got ATM is http://www.creative.com/soundblaster/tactic3d/wrath/ (Not 80$, but I thought I'd share what I got atm).

I have those, not true 7.1 because they decided to leave out the fact it's virtual 7.1 sound but even in stereo mode it's really good quality.

I use these. Sound quality is good for the price, and I haven't had any problem with them. Had them for a little over a year now and I am still happy with them.

Logitech G35 (wired)
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/webcam-communications/internet-headsets-phones/g35-surround-sound-headset

Logitech G930 (wireless (my current headset))
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/headsets/wireless-gaming-headset-g930

By far the best sounding USB headphones available. Both are identical, but the G930 is wireless while the G35 is not. Amazing products and they both use Dolby surround sound. I highly recommend one or the other.

razer is trash. buy headphones and a mic seperate, cheaper, better quality and if one thing breaks you don't have to replace both. logitech mics are good and sennheiser has great lower end headphones
Please don't PM me regarding bans or anything having to do with in-game situations. Only PM me if you've been told I am the only one who can solve your issue.

I bought mine 3 years ago and they're still working perfectly fine. I totally recommend theese for their cheap price and quality mic+sound.

I've got the Razer Carcharias right now and I love them. Braided cord, comfy, and they feel like they're not going to break. I've gone through 3 Turtle Beach headsets in less than a year because they're shit and soldered terribly. But on this headset the cord never tangles, mic is good, and they're affordable compared to tb. All depends on what you like the best though, I like these because I can listen to music and do whatever else I want with them.

i use a razer headset and i fucking love it. although i love it i wouldn't exactly recommend it to people because it's annoying as hell to set up.
and yeah i agree with buying headphones and a mic separately.

razer is really fucking expensive, you don't get what you pay for. i've also had nothing but bad experiences with things breaking, shit support, etc

i've used my razer mouse since late 2008 and it's been running as good as the day i bought it, same goes for all my other gear. the headset i own (razer chimaera 5.1) is worth about $194-$200 and while i agree it's really expensive, it's the only 5.8ghz wireless 5.1 headset that's really out there. i've heard stories about the mic being shitty but that was JUST on xbox, i had no problem with the mic so far or the headset itself. i see your point but i'm a pretty big razer fanboy seeing as i've had no problems with them and they produce really nice gear.

I've been using some earphones that I got with my Xperia P. They are hands donw, THE best earphones I've ever used. The quality of sound and bass through themn is astounding since they are just earphones. I would even say they rival a lot of headsets I've used.
They have an inbuilt microphone too. If you want something cheap and VERY good for what they are, get them.
