1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.
     Jasper has always mainly laid low at the beginning of his stay in City 45, although he was more loyal to the Union then the more rebellious groups. He slowly, over time, without breaking laws, gradually earned loyalty points from doing simple tasks like cleaning signs, picking up trash, etc. He earned his loyalist armband recently and has been sporting it quite often, eager to show his loyalty to the Union. Jasper always tried to avoid confrontation with the rebellious sorts, and managed to do so successfully multiple times. As Jasper grew in the city, so did his admiration of the Combine Civil Authority, and he soon became a full on loyalist to the Universal Union.
     As a citizen, Jasper always admired the higher-ranked members of society in City 45, whether it being Civil Workers Union members, Combine Civil Authority officers, or any other person who was more qualified than himself. He noticed the luxurious treatment the Workers Union got from everyone - the citizens, other workers, and even, surprisingly, the units of the CCA. Jasper was very envious of this treatment as he was constantly being kicked around in the dirt, harassed, and more. Even though he had only been detained once, and beaten a few times, Jasper figured his life was rough, and wanted it to get better. He brainstormed many ways of doing this, the main joining the predators of City 45, and, himself, becoming a predator - no longer having the worth of dust or an empty can.
     Before the war, Jasper was /greatly/ interested in sciences; the main sciences he was interested in were biology, anatomy and neurosciences. Jasper followed his hopes and became an open heart surgeon at a local hospital, saving more than a few lives. He was completely happy with his career as it was one he had always wished to pursue. He went through a huge state of depression after the seven hour war as he was no longer allowed to practice and hone his skills. Jasper eventually, though, got over it, and readjusted to his new life of oppression by the combine.
     Although Jasper accepted his fate, he still attempted to find ways to hone is practices - sometimes opening a medical clinic, sometimes giving people advice, and sometimes simply providing a home for the sick and ill. Although, this did not fuel Jasper's thirst for learning more about medical sciences, and he soon realized that. Jasper sat in his room, one fine evening, concocting a plan of sorts that would allow him to bring his career back...thinking carefully, he realized the only way that he would be able to use his skill efficiently would be to join the Union. Jasper knew of the medical branch, and, combining this idea with that of a better life, as previously stated, Jasper's idea of joining the Union was surefire, and his mind was set.

3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.
     As I have had experience role-playing as a combine character, I know almost exactly what it will be like, although I do expect some minor changes to occur, and I already am aware of some. I know that role-playing a CCA character is a completely different experience. I can expect it to be. I am also aware that it is a great way to develop my character. My character development has been very in-depth so far, and adding this chapter to it will be a completely new experience - almost a completely different style of RPing.
     I expect my character to be slightly surprised at what he finds in the CCA; Jasper is expecting some of the roughness, and knows some things about the combine...little does he know, though, that he has just hit the tip of the iceberg. I expect Jasper to change completely, and become more dark...cold, almost. His disposition may already be cold, but nothing compared to what he doesn't know he will experience. He is in for a thrill ride, as he can't really prepare himself for what the UU has to offer, and although he can tough through it, he will come out of the experience a whole knew man. As he climbs the ranks, he will become colder, and slowly - gradually - less human. Jasper will not want this change, to happen, of course, but it will be happening so gradually that Jasper does not realize it is taking place, and, unfortunately, grasps him eventually completely.


4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.
     Jasper was born on June 6, 1985, to his mother, Aelid Valentine, and his father, Ryan Valentine. The birth was successful and there were null complications. He was raised in a large house inside of the town called Everett, WA, near Seattle, WA. He was raised very properly and attended preschool.
     After Jasper attended preschool, he went to a local elementary school to attend Kindergarten. It was here where Jasper's abilities as a marvelous student began, and his intelligence was spawned. He passed through elementary school, easily, although still in core classed. Jasper was excited to move on to middle school, where, eventually, his parents would get divorced. Jasper moved in with him mom at the beginning of the seventh grade, and, strangely, away from his dad, Jasper's academics shot up. At the end of seventh grade, Jasper took the placement tests to join the advanced placement classes, and passed nearly all of them. Although his eighth grade year was challenging due to the rough classes, he passed successfully, and his effort in middle school paid off.
     Jasper excelled extremely quickly in high school. While other students may have been out with friends or experimenting with drugs, Jasper was studying hard for his tests and classes. He ended up passing freshman year with his only friends being his straight A's. Because of this, Jasper was placed in full honors and AP classes in his sophomore year of high school. This put a very heavy load on him, creating an even thicker barrier between himself and social belonging. He didn't seem to care, though, as he was set on his idea to be a surgeon. He, once again, passed his sophomore year with flying colors, and was rewarded by skipping the eleventh grade. Jasper had barely any classes his senior year, so he elected a numerous amount of sciences, and graduated after his first semester at age seventeen.
     Immediately after he graduated, he began searching for universities. Jasper was smart enough to know how good his grades were and how much influence in the decision he had of which university to attend. Eventually, in the summer, he enrolled in Western Washington University, where he would study biology, anatomy and multiple other sciences for eight whopping years and get his doctorate's degree. After he graduated from his university, he quickly acquired a job identifying the cause of death of certain cadavers, basically working autopsies. Although this was not the career he wanted, Jasper accepted it as it was somewhat what he wanted to do. Though, this job did not hold long due to the rough economy, and he was fired shortly after...but then rehired at his dream career as an open heart surgeon at a hospital in Seattle, WA.
     Jasper held the job and lived a happy life without kids or a significant other for over a year. He kept close with his family and had his dream job, and an other worldly pay. When the seven hour war began, Jasper was directly in the middle of an open heart surgery for an obese patient experiencing multiple heart attacks and chronic heart pain. The last thing to this day that Jasper can remember is the image imprinted into his mind of making the first incision at the top of the patient's chest.
     After that, the first thing he can remember is exiting a train off City 45. He took in a deep breath, coughing rather quickly as the smoggy air filled his lungs. He also, for whatever reason, had a small virus with no fever, which, later on faded, as Jasper can take care of himself medically. After he walked out of the train station, he immediately bought an apartment. This turned out to be a smart choice as they sold out quickly after - the poor citizens who were not fortunate enough to have living quarters usually slept in the slums or roomed with someone.
     Jasper went into a mild depression after he was there because of his routine. His routine mainly consisted of sleeping in as much as he could because there was nothing to do, talking a stroll around the plaza, chatting occasionally to people. He would proceed to sit on the bench for awhile - he had his own favorite spot because of how many times he sat there - and he would relax, sometimes drifting away into a nap for a few minutes to be waken up by his own snoring. Afterwords, he would get his ration or maybe shop at a CWU store if it was open, go to his apartment and eat his ration. He would take another shorter walk, then go to his apartment and fall asleep.
     Even though occasionally there would be something that would pop up such as a fight or judgement waiver, it still felt all the same to Jasper. Fortunately enough, though, he found a way to get out of the routine by joining the union in one way, shape or form. He had a few chats with some CWU members about the live of being a Civil Worker, and it seemed something he would be interested in, so he quickly put in an application to be a worker.
     Fortunately again, his application was answered rather quickly in a matter of days, and he was accepted for interview. He met his organizer, Ryan, and they had a great interview. After the interview, Ryan shook his hand and welcomed him to the Civil Worker's Union, where - eager to work - Jasper put on his uniform.
     Jasper's life as a Civil Worker was everything he expected. He switched up his life a lot and ended up getting out of his funk rather quickly. He enjoyed being able to socialize with his fellow citizens a lot more now that he was selling them goods. He often set up a stand in the plaza - with the CCA's permission, of course - and sold things like backpacks, food and books. His schedule was not the same every day anymore, and he was actually having fun. Jasper quickly realized this would not be good enough for him though...he was still the prey, and wanted to become the predator.
     Jasper picked up one of the books from his shop about the Universal Union and walked home after closing his shop. He eagerly opened the book and thoroughly studied the Union, reading the short book at least three or four times in one sitting. After he read the book, he went to bed, his dreams full of the combine, citizens, and most importantly - power. The next day, he felt slightly more rejuvenated than usual, which was strange. The entire day he had the Union on his mind, even while vending to his customers. At night, when Jasper crawled into his bed, he knew what he had to do, and started thinking of ways to get into the Union. The next day, Jasper picked up an application, thought it through, and eventually filled out the application and submitted it with high hopes of becoming a Combine Civil Authority officer.

Around six years. I started in 2006 or 2007 on a DarkRP server, and continued to Dark RP before my steam account was phished in 2008 or 2009 (lol.)

About four to five years...my first serious RP server being kuromeku's republic.

7. What�s your most memorable quality RP experience?
     My most memorable role-play experience would probably have to be interrogating one of the head resistance members as a JURY 04 on one of kuro's servers. I had some experience interrogating suspects, but nothing this big. I felt privileged to interrogate the suspect as there was a JURY OfC and the HELIX DvL that allowed me to take over by myself.
     Since everyone in the situation was a fine role-player, it made for some fantastic role-play. Interrogation RP has to be my favorite type, hence why I wanted a JURY-like squad on the server...but aside from that fact, I had a lot of fun doing what I was doing. The whole RP situation took about an hour, and it was jammed with excitement, excellent role-play and fun.

1. Have you ever been detained or apprehended for a Sociostability Infringement before? If so, explain?
     Yes, unfortunately. I was detained once for selling contraband...namely a few bandages. I never actually sold any, though. I was selling them because I was brand new to the city and I had no idea it was contraband...I learned my lesson, and since then, I have ran a successful business multiple times, completely legally.

Yes, I enjoy the rations the Combine Civil Authority provides me with to my fullest extent.

Yes.

6. Why do you want to join the Combine Civil Authority?
     I want to join Combine Civil Authority because I feel like I could be an asset to the force. I have medical skills that some other units may lack - but that's just the start of it. Many times I have witnessed uncivil behavior, many times I have been unable to act...I want to be an enforcer of civility and the Union. I feel that joining the Civil Authority force would me improve my traits thoroughly and help improve the combine's grip on society. I no longer want to be the prey - I want to be the predator...I have shown my loyalty throughout my time at City 45, and I think my time has come to utilize it and become a part of the strongest force known to man in order to make society more civilized and to aid the Union..
     In short, though, I want to serve the Union to my full potential as there is no higher honor than to do so.

How long have you been in City45:
     I've been in City 45 for awhile now. It's hard to remember how long it has been...the days and nights pass so...inconsistently. Sometimes, a day feels like an hour. Sometimes more. Sometimes, a day can carry on forever.
     Putting those facts aside, a good estimate would be around...one, maybe two years? As previously stated, it's hard to tell...the past is getting foggier and foggier for me.

Why do you want to join the CWU?:
     I want to be in the Civil Worker's Union to help show my loyalty. Even though my loyalty to the Universal Union is uncompromisable, it would be a great way to prove that. As an officer told me once, one of the best things to do is 'to serve the Union'...and that is exactly what I plan on doing.
     Putting aside the fact that I want to prove my loyalty, it would be nice to have some days where I literally do nothing. I think the CWU would spice up my life and give it some variety. Some days, I literally just sleep all day, because in City 45, there is sometimes a lack of energy...a lack of feel, that is, and emotion. I think joining the Worker's Union would help me feel more alive, more active, and more excited to wake up every morning.

Have you ever been detained before?(If so why):
     I have been detained once for selling a medical item that I did not realize was contraband when I was new to the city, and setting up a shop without a permit...I have no excuses though, what I did was obviously wrong. I unfortunately learned my lesson the hard way. Since then, I have gotten a business permit and cleaned up my act!

Past experience with work/labor:
     The most I've done with work and labor was some minor things...a few times, I've helped the Civil Worker's Union themselves pick up some stuff off of the dirty ground when it was particularly messy. I've also been compensated for working. One time, specifically, I recall, when I was actually thanked by an officer who thought I did well cleaning graffiti off of the walls...it made my day. He also compensated me when the two other workers were not compensated.

Name 4 things the CWU Can possess, and 4 things we cant. Also state why.:
     Well, one thing for sure a CWU member can't possess is weapons of any kind...even if the CWU are more respected or trusted, they do not have the ability to hold something that can be a threat to the Universal Union. Another thing the Worker's Union cannot possess is the unauthorized drugs and medical equipment. Anything more than the authorized medical equipment and drugs could be dangerous to civilians and the Union. A third thing the Civil Worker's Union definitely cannot possess is anti-Union books...a fine example being "Counter Criticisms." These could provide some serious instability in the civil environment, and even the trusted Worker's Union should not have access to something so dangerous. The final thing that should not be sought by CWU members is illegal foods and beverages. A very good example of this would be beer. Beer provides and unstable affect on the mind, that, once again, could be threatening to the Union. Anything that can afflict a citizen should not be allowed. It can also provide a dependence, which would waste the time of our fine officers.
     One thing we can possess, though, as Civil Worker's Union members, is the authorized medical tools and drugs if one has a medical license. These being bandages, paracetamols and steroids. Once again, though, this is just for the authorized Civil Worker's Union members. We are allowed to possess these because they are not very dangerous if dangerous at all, but can provide medical use for a citizen in need. We can also possess flashlights and other items directly classified as public by the Universal Union as those items do not pose a threat to the civility of City 45 and are not contraband. We may also possess certain foods and drinks that are allowed by the Union, such as oranges, donuts, tea, lemonade, a few other food goods, because they provide the citizens with a minor moral uplift and vitamins and nutrients. We may also possess bags as they help citizens and ourselves keep our items more organized and are not a threat to the Union.

Tell us about what you can do.:
     I know a little medical training, and I've been interested in learning a lot more. I've always had an interest in learning and become a smarter person. I have decent social skills, and I do fine around people who are new to City 45.
     If I join the Civil Worker's Union, I definitely would be happy with any job you give me. I would prefer a branch in the medical department later on, but I can do anything to help serve the Union, whether it be simply sponging the walls to remove some propaganda or supplying citizens with basic medical tools.

If a citizen asks for help and is new to the city, what would you do?:
     Do what I usually do...depending on their situation. Some of them are completely fine on their own, and end up having a happy life in the city. Some do not. Depending on how they come, mainly their financial situation, is what really changes my actions. I usually welcome the new citizen with a hearty hello and explain how everything works in the city. I then take them to my room, offer them a water and allow them to stay, if they wish, and explain the rooming system. After the water, once they are prepared to leave, I usually send them off with fifty to one-hundred or so tokens to get them kick started. Sometimes, I give some friendly advice, too. As they are leaving, I offer them a tour of the city. If they decline, I give them a strong handshake and let them be off. If they accept, I tour them of the city, all except D6, and explain why they should not enter there. Then I let them off in the city and wish them good luck.

Detail a regular day as a worker of the CWU?:
     A regular day as a worker of the CWU usually isn't /too/ different from a normal citizen's life. Sometimes, maybe once a day, if not less, they take up shop and sell goods, usually with the help of another worker. They may also clean some parts of City 45, and offer a citizen the job for compensation. They pretty much do anything the CCA asks them to do. Like I said, it's not too different from a normal citizen's life. They may also organize cleaning events or other small-time work/labor jobs.

Character Backstory:
     Jasper was born in a small town by Seattle, Washington called Everett. He spent most of his life as a good child, and mostly stayed out of trouble. His parents divorced at his age of ten, and fortunately it did not phase Jasper much. Jasper achieved good grades all throughout middle school and elementary school, and ended up skipping the tenth grade, graduating high school at the young age of seventeen.
     After he graduated, he went to a university for eight years and got his doctorate's degree in medical science - exactly the career he wanted to pursue. Jasper was very interested in neurosciences, biology, and anatomy, so he pursued a career as a brain, heart and miscellaneous surgeon. Eventually, he got a job to identify the causes of death of cadavers(working autopsies), and even though it may not have been /exactly/ the job Jasper wanted, he enjoyed it somewhat.
     Due to the rough economy, though, he was eventually fired from his job. Fortunately, he was quickly rehired at a hospital near Seattle, WA, and ended up mainly working open heart surgeries on elderly patients. This was exactly the career Jasper wanted, and he excelled very quickly in it. He worked his career for quite a long time.
     Jasper was never lucky enough to meet a woman. He was slightly socially awkward as he mainly focused on learning and his job. Jasper had many small flings and relationships before the seven hour war, but never anything serious enough to become a marriage, or, sadly enough, even a long-term relationship.
     He ended up also doing brain surgeries and miscellaneous surgeries, sometimes, too, along with his open-heart career. When the seven hour war happened, Jasper was directly in the middle of a surgery of a patient complaining of chronic heart pains and who had a history of heart attacks. The last thing he remembered was making the incision on the patient's chest.
