Tony recluses into the corner, evading the weird looks as much as possible; he readies his carrier pigeon, Arnold,  with a pre-written note on it's messed up leg: [Gorilla language] I have entered the human lands, they do not suspect that I am a gorilla.
He releases Arnold out of a nearby window.

Civil Workers Union / Requisition Order[s]
« on: April 09, 2014, 03:14:15 AM »
Name: Michael Patrick O'Grady.
Rank: Veteran Chef.
Order:
  • A second holographic sign projector (x1);
  • Holographic sign manual (x1);
  • Light up wet-floor signs (x2);
  • Normal wet floor signs (x4);
  • Traffic cones (x20);
  • A reprogrammable cleaning drone (x1);
  • Extra chef whites;
  • Steaks;
  • Chicken

Additional notes:
We only have a small handful of signs to divide amongst us, for which it's usually first come first serve.
A lot of workers have mercantile duties, which are chiefly prioritised above cleaning as well as other blue-collar duties; with demanding hours and excessive mess — especially with cooking.
Chef white back-ups will be nice, as cooking is messy (as well as other duties) and I — or another chef — may need to change clothes, with little time for a wash, if a CA visits for instance.
We're low on steaks and chicken, both of which are popular meats in our dishes.

Worker's Signature: M. P. Grady.
Foreman's Signature: R. Horner

Tony attempts to calm down, focusing on his inner-calmness, envisioning mountains, mead and wenches.

Tony saunters over to the nearest tavern, he applies a cocoa butter to himself (giving off a sensual aroma, as well as smooth skin). He begins to woo the barmaidens in an attempt to find out rumours as well as where gold can be obtained.

Suggestions / Re: Ration Tests

So all I have to do is eat lots of cake AND rations, so I can loophole the system?

Not very waterproof now is it?

<::[[ Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S2 using Tapatalk 2 ]]::>

The system isn't going to be bulletproof but it's going to allow units to do SOMETHING instead of NOTHING against citizens who are muscular/overweight. It's quite obvious if you are malnourished and if you are overweight/muscular, go and look up pictures of starving children in Africa then look up pictures of Jay Cutler. Huge difference.

There is a difference between malnourishment and starvation.

Starvation is when the body has ran out of fats/carbs to consume and has resulted in breaking down proteins. Your body is eating itself alive, for survival.

Malnutrition is when you're not sufficiently nourished or you're over nourished. It actually seems daft that citizens would be kept on a state on constant malnutrition, whilst you can still work and function, but you cannot function at your optimum level and could be seen as a chronic illness.
The last time I RP'd malnutrition, I was almost taken in on charges of being drunk.

Starving is malnutrition, malnutrition is not starving. You can in fact be overweight and malnourished.

EDIT: You can also be overweight and suffer malnutrition, on the bases that you could have a high calorie intake, but low nutrition intake.

CWU sells food.

The CWU food still wouldn't be enough to allow you to be "muscular" or "overweight". After speaking to CWU workers themselves, no one buys their stuff. They get little to no business and so how would it be possible since no one even buys their food in this first place? CWU food/items are also UU branded, they essentially check over the things they sell. It's not contraband food they sell, it's Union based things.

606 buys everyone a lot of food. Greasy Chinese food would affect your weight too

It's UU sanctioned. There are very little nutrients in CWU food, same with rations. 606 also is dead now. The only way to get big is to eat contraband food, simple as that. I spoke with delta about this on steam, same with waffle, and the whole point of this suggestion is to stop citizens from FailRP'ing and make them face the consequences of being big. Wanna be muscular or overweight? Go for it, eat all the contraband food you want, but there should be a way that units can punish you as it's fairly clear to tell the difference between someone that's malnourished and someone that's not. Citizens also asspull food saying their swole as fuck, even though they have never even RP'ed eating.

I thought they were punished

If you want just citizens, go play OCRP.
this is dumb

removing the strip club will not solve the issue, adding more incentive to roleplay outside of it will(or at least, should be attempted before resorting to just removing it)

I cannot remember who said it [in TS] but it something along the lines of:
"It's dumb to remove something good from a map for the sake of improvement, instead, improve the rest of the map to meet that standard"

  • I know everyone hates rolling, but it's good for item RP. Thats why whenever someone breaks a window or glass to try and harvest a glass shard big enough to be a weapon, they should be required to roll a certain number to find it. Windows also cannot be broken more than once a week because they'd need to be replaced.
I personally love this idea, and when I do passive with myself I tend to /roll to acomplish/fail tasks.

Perhaps have a command called /find or something to that effect, where it will do a roll for you and say (you have found this item) if it detects you are within x y z coordinates which is a brick wall or so on (would require a bit of coding and time for the coordinate stuff but doable?)

We actually roll a lot to find items, whilst this does lead to a large stock of items, it is all completely plausible. We never roll again on the same container and we don't go to the same place afterwards.

If I was looking for clothing and I went to a laundrette, I'd base it on a roll of >30 to attain clothing, anything higher yields quality. 20> is nothing and 10> we class as a critical failure: knocking your head, finding spiders, splinters... If we were searching for an instrument and we went to an old club, we'd roll a 90+ in order to find one, but it would be in a worn condition, et cetera, et cetera.

It eliminates the arduous play to lose of searching versus the inevitable complaining if you did find something.  You also, logically cannot find anything like a gun and such.

Loot tables are the best.

DayZ RP.

Seriously if you need a script to RP finding shit and crafting up an item then Serious RP isnt for them. If I want to craft myself a bong out of some pop cans and a pipe, I'll probably spend a few hours ICly roaming around in D2, collecting supplies, then another hour building the bong. I dont need a script to make myself a bong IC.

As for the hats n shit. Selling those items for common players is a good idea. I still think flagged PAC would be nice to have that custom visual physical appearance.
it takes you that long to make a bong

I went through this on TS, the other day.
I'm apprehensive about finding shit in City via a script, but I'm all for it in the Outlands

Only 1 wee district in the entire OOC city.
If someone is stupid enough to solo the hardpoint, especially at a low rank, then by all means they should be fucking mugged and with all the bullshit with 20-million units running in.
There have been a lot of raids but not a JW due to a lack of location knowledge.

Some muggings I recall were by: Yak, Misty, Vegas and myself. we are horrid RPers, 2bad4u.

The piano would just get shot up/destroyed by someone looking for attention. As for TnB models i'd love to see those.

Piano stronk, also very cool and playable. I pissed around on it playing concerning hobbits on singleplayer
