Title: Cannot Connect to the OCRP server
Post by: sGr | Spell on April 27, 2011, 09:02:11 PM
Hm. Honestly is bothering me, i cannot connect to OCRP, yet i could back when OC was still up. No changes in my addon folders or the like.

Only addons:
Sb required addons
OCRP content
SicknessModels

To be exact. I join up, from launching gmod, join server and get to Retrieving server information... Then it stops responding and crashes.

OR I jump on ttt/gmr for awhile. Then jump to OCRP, get half the page loaded with Retrieving Server Information then crash.

Any idea's on what may be the issue.?

Have you tried reinstalling GMod? You can also try and delete all of your modules("garrysmod/garrysmod/lua/includes/modules"), and then add the ones you need like gm_bass.dll.

Delete your lua folder if you haven't tried. Bass has been causing crashes for some people.

well, i would honestly love to avoid having to reinstall gmod again...( i did last time my steam fucked up before oc went down).

I'll try deleting the modules and add the ones i need again. Though i dont honestly understand why i'd be crashing with the same exact setup as before :/

Rawr, new error message:

Steam Dll isn't worth of ourt rust on line 76561198005586748

Mk, well seems this issue is only with the OCRP server. I can join the GMR easily and it ocasionally gives me a SBEP error.

Could it possibly be SBEP fucking with it?

Probably. I'd try renaming your second GMod folder and copying your maps over only to see if it works. If it doesn't you can always rename it back.

mk, just gonna delete all my sb's shit. I dont play it anymore and i dont plan on playing it. Worst case i just get it out of the svn again.

Nope, this didnt work either. Honestly not sure what to try now... Tried googling for this error message, yet cant find it :/

The issue is more than likely your chrome module. Go to your garrysmod/garrysmod/lua/insludes/modules folder and find and delete gm_chrome.dll and test that out.

please dont post useless shit in this thread. K thx bai.

Anyway, back to topic, any Suggestions on how to fix this... Kinda annoying that i got into the server for 5 minutes(less than that really), talked to karma, crashed when opening karma's inventory lol... then crashing constantly since i got up this morning.

And have you tried re-installing your GMod? If that does not fix it, then its a computer issue.

i have tried reinstalling it. And it should not be a computer Issue. I can connect to any other gmod server that i have the maps for.  And my computer easily played on the old OCRP, so it should easily run on this one :/

Also, i'll try reinstalling again to see if it fixes it.

Theres probably something wrong with your addons, maybe something in your folder it doesn't support. Or the website might not be scanning your problems correctly.

Its a problem quite a few get for hl2rp aswell.
Start a singleplayer game, let it fully load, disconnect, join ocrp, should fix it.
