Write a detailed in-canon back-story how your character obtained these authorizations.

Kellin Yershen was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana. He came from a family that didn't get a long with one another. After losing his father at a young age, his brother started to ruin his own life. Kellin was different than the rest of his family. He wanted to go to school. He wanted to be someone. His mother always encouraged him to follow his dreams. And that's exactly what he did. Kellin always kept to himself. After school, he would head straight home to study. Kellin would often do research on areas in the medical field. He knew that he wanted to become a doctor when his mother was sick in the hospital. While she was sleeping, he would explore the hospital and get a feel on what doctor's do.

When Kellin turned 18, he was in his senior year of High School. He had lost his mother when he was 13. He had been living with his grandparents since then. During one of the last days of classes, the school had brought in a special guest to speak to the class. The guest  went by the name of Lieutenant Commander Larry Shepard. He spoke to the class about the benefits of joining the Navy. At the time, Kellin knew that he couldn't afford to go through college and medical school. And he sure as hell did not want to borrow from the bank. He slept on the idea and the next day, he went to his local recruiting office. The recruiting officer spoke to Kellin and told him about the Navy's corpsman position. He would train in medicine and they would pay for his college tuition. His exact words after the meeting were "Sign me up!".

Upon completing basic training, Kellin made a few friends. Most of the guys were going to train to become Navy Seals after basic. Somehow, they convinced Kellin to join up. Unlike his friends, Kellin did not go straight to seal training. He wasn't that crazy about it. He attended a naval school that provided him with medical training. After a year of that, he went on to seal training, or as they call it, BUD/s.  BUD/s stands for Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL. It was hell. Although it was very difficult, Kellin acquired an advanced set of skill that not many people have obtained. Graduating at top of his class, he did not go straight to war. After bud/s, Kellin went to Sniper School where he learned how to properly stalk an enemy and how to successfully execute recon missions.

It was around midnight when Seal Team 2 were flying low over a city in Iraq. At one moment, everyone was talking about the mission that they just came out of. Everyone except Kellin. While everyone was relaxing, he still had his gear buckled on. Out of nowhere, an RPG missile hits the main rotor. The helicopter crashes hard in the middle of the desert. The two pilots are dead. Seven out of Ten Seals die. Kellin and another Seal were the only survivors. Having little time before the aircraft blows, they find an exit and start running for the hills. Knowing that they would not survive without shelter, they keep walking until they find a group of civilians. There were three civilians and three camels. Both seals took out every chunk of change that they had and offered to buy the camels. After coming to a reasonable exchange, they take the camel up half a mile and start to gut it. Kellin did not want to spend the night inside of a dead animal, so he did what no man would think to do. He skinned the camel and used it for warmth. When morning arose, they wrapped up the disgusting camel skin and kept walking towards a city where they were taken back to base.

The start of the 7 hour war.

He was on his last deployment. The plan was to go back home and finish up medical school. Kellin was returning from his final patrol when they attacked. How did he find out you ask? Well, coming back to fire and rubble is one way of seeing it. Upon return, there had been a group of what seemed like soldiers in gas masks. Except, they were firing at the vehicle that Kellin and his team were in. Everyone quickly braced for cover, preparing their weapons. Kellin focused on the weaponry that the masked men were using. It was like nothing from this century. It blew the armored truck up in just a couple of shots. Knowing that he would have died if he stayed there, he told his team that they should run off before it get's worse. They did not listen. They wanted to stay back and fight. Kellin knew that they would all die, so he took off. After thirty minutes of sprinting, Kellin stopped and fell over onto the sand. He took off all of his equipment and made eyes with a dead Iraqi citizen lying on the ground. He stripped him of his clothing and headed to the city. The city was infested with these masked men. They lined up the citizen's, counting them and moving them into groups. Kellin joined a line, blending into the population. He made the smart call and complied with the masked men's orders. After a few weeks of living in this Iraqi city, they were ready to transport them out of Iraq via train. Everyone was surprised to see this kind of new technology. There has never been a train anywhere near the city they were in. Kellin knew that these soldiers were from another planet. He wanted to see where he would be taken for a chance to break free. After what seemed like days in the train, it finally arrived in Bucharest, Romania. Or what the soldiers called it, City Forty Five. Kellin was assigned an apartment, some clothing and stale food.
After about a month of living in City Forty Five, Kellin gathered enough intel to create a plan to escape. Everyday at 0600 hours, the masked men, or better known as the Combine, would switch patrol shifts. There was an exit that lead to a different part of the city called Precinct Three. Many citizen's who oppose of the Combine movement run into this part of the city. The plan was to make a sprint while they were changing patrol shifts. When the time came, Kellin started walking towards the exit when a Combine unit saw him and began to stop him.
*Combine: "Hey, you with no hair! Get over here!"
Kellin then made a run for it towards the exit. He was chased halfway, then shots went off. Luckily, none of them hit him. After successfully making it to precinct three, he was greeted by a man holding what seemed to be a high-powered sub-machine gun. Kellin heard rumors about these resistance members in Precinct three, so he kept walking. The man holding the sub-machine gun stopped him, saying:
Man: "Hey. What do you think you're doing?"
Kellin: "Just looking for a way out like everybody else."
The man had his sleeves rolled up, showing his tattoos. Kellin noticed that one of his tattoos were military related. It read: "United States Marine Corps"
Kellin: "You were a Marine?"
Man: "Lance Corporal Richard Lockheart. What can I do you for?"
Kellin proceeded to roll his sleeves up, revealing his Navy Seal trident tattoo.
Kellin: "Petty Officer First Class Hospital Corpsman Kellin Yershen. Served five years and 4 tours as a seal. Oorah!"
Man: "Shh, keep it down. Come with me, we'll talk where it's safer."
Without hesitation, Kellin followed the man.

Corporal Lockheart lead Kellin into an underground bar where they were greeted by a few men. Lockheart opened a secret door, leading them to a back room. He put his sub-machine gun down, grabbing a beer and handing it to Kellin.
Man: "So, you want to get out of this hell hole, yeah?"
Kellin: "As soon as possible."
Man: "That sucks. We can really use you around here. Tell ya what, you help me and I'll help you."
Kellin: "Whatever you need."
Lockheart then continues to explain that there was a man stealing from his bar. He gave Kellin the apartment number and location. Kellin then proceeded to open a can of whoop ass on the man. If you know what I mean. After doing that favor for Lockheart, Kellin got what he wanted. Lockheart showed Kellin a way out of the city via canals. He supplied him with food, water, a hunting knife and sent him on his way. Towards the end of the main canal, Kellin was greeted by cold chills. The canal lead him to the East Romainian Mountains which were covered in snow. As he exited the canals, he quickly gathered some sticks to create a fire and started his adventure.

What will these authorizations give your character in regards to perks or defects?
Perks
-Survival skills.
-Advanced Defensive Skills.
-Advanced Medical Skills.
-Advanced Recon/Stalking Skills.

Defects
-Horrid flashbacks. (About the heli crash, his parents, the war)
-Night terrors.
-Small counts of PTSD.

What do you plan to do with these perks/defects?
Encourage more medical roleplay within the Outlands server. The Navy Seal background would come in handy if I were in a situation where I can save someone from bandits. Or myself.

Will anyone else need these auths? (If so, list OOC and IC name(s))
No.

Which server does this apply for?
Outlands.

Extra Notes (optional):
Obviously because i'm an SA, I don't expect this to be accepted. Everyone knows that none of these perks will be abused by me.

Normally, I'd be against just anyone getting such extensive auths that I didn't know well enough, but the back story explains everything very well and we all know a super admin knows the consequences of abusing authorizations. I personally don't expect Jonco to misuse anything he's asked for and personally, I find everything acceptable, given Jonco's good standing with the community and level of maturity.

Everything's good by me personally.

Looks alright to me. The part where you switched clothes and followed the combine orders kinda didn't make a whole lotta sense. How did you know they would kill you if they saw your clothes? Why didnt you look for another platoon/FOB? Why did you betray your boys and run away, leaving them behind?

Its not so out of the ordinary for someone behind enemy lines to switch out of their uniform to blend into their environment to better to survive/slip away from the enemy. They teach you to survive by any means necessary and use your surroundings (in this case blending in) to your advantage. In the movie, "Behind Enemy Lines" which is based off of a true story of a downed US Naval Combat Aviator, there's a scene where he's caught up in a conflict in a city between Serbian troops and local resistance fighters, but he's also being searched for by the Serbian troops. He finds a dead Serbian soldier and switches uniforms, blending in with them while they think they've found him dead, after they see his uniform on a body. He then proceeds to escape the city.

@How did I know they would kill me? Well, you have to understand. If you came back to a destroyed base with everyone dead, it wouldn't take a rocket science to know that they're killing off your military. Yes, he left his boys. His boys were being ignorant. He didn't want to die for nothing.

And he didn't look for another platoon/FOB because the city was the first thing that he found.

The backstory is written well and explains all of the skills Jonco asks for. There also is balanced amount of defects to the perks and we all know Jonco is capable of handling the authorizations. I'll leave an open spot for alex/Challenge to say the verdict on this, but you've got my support, Jon!
