Support & Help / Re: Upgrading my PC. Need help. :c
« on: March 03, 2014, 09:23:57 PM »
no point in keeping any of that apart from the G card. I would suggest using this PC for things like net browsing or coin mining now and make  a new PC. If you prefer AMD or Nvidia/Intel please tell us. Once I have an idea of your price point I can probably find you a reasonable PC in that range. The reason I say to upgrade the ram is that it is very low speed compared to most gaming grade ram that is about 3 times that speed. The power supply would be fine for awhile as that card takes no where near 500 watts but I would upgrade it to a more energy efficient model and save yourself in the long run. If you are only going for mid/high graphics and really don't care TOO much about speeds you are working at I would really suggest to keep the card and just get an I5.

If you are planning on getting a new card or process please wait for the next gen.

I have some mods you should disable and items to ban to keep lag down

we are not going to disable or enable any mods

we are taking a modpack, which one that is, is up to the voters

Well there are 2 mods on ulti that can be used to crash the server. Cc, allows the person to used code which one could script a program to crash the server or edit files.

The modpack we were using, Direwolf20, was using way too much of the server box's CPU so we had to shut it down.

To fix this issue, we're going to have to change modpacks. Please choose one of the options above. Note: If Ultimate is chosen and is causing issues with MCPC+ and the plugins, we'll add the mod pack with the second most votes.

Note that the worlds will not be saved because some things that Direwolf20 added to the world may not be in the the new mod pack, thus causing errors. I will try to save Creative.

Mcpc+ does that, I suggest not using it with certain plugins.
It must be used in order to install Bukkit plugins on a FTB server. We don't have many plugins, anyway, only ones needed for administrating the server or for Multiverse.

Mcpc+ is not the only thing, bukkit forge/forge bukkit work aswell and I use them on my servers.
Mcpc+ causes too many glitches.
MCPC+ is based on spigot, and that right there just tells you it has better performance. Not to mention that when I first set up CG's MC server I tried out BukkitForge and the performance was crappy, so I stayed with MCPC+. MCPC+ is also compatible with more plugins.

It also conflicts with many plugins,  it strains the ram and takes  idel cpu % use up by about 5-10% however throttles do not go as high. Personally I would rather have lag spikes than constant small lag.

I dont see why the medical division should be reduced to something simple just because you don't want them to all be neurosurgeons

They can still get trained in all the basic medical stuff and such.. just, as with R&D, don't let them do retarded stuff. Put a limitation, punish people who break those limits and boom, no issues with overpowered augment surgery or whatever. I think it's a bad idea to just have them as "only" field medics. The medical division should cover everything medical for the CCA.. the CWU would deal with citizens, mainly.
You supported the reduction in the meeting didnt you? I didn't support it but a lot of other people did so I agreed. Here's the only changes for the medical division that I personally would have liked to see:

  • R&D Downsized to max 4 units and restrictions as stated somewhere on the forums
  • Augmentations changed so they're only to replace limbs with equal or less strength then a real limb, no more OP crap like thermal eyes
  • Have some sort of contact with CWU Hospital for citizen emergencies

Lets be real here. No one that had an iq over 69 would grow spliff in an rv. You simply don't have enough space to deal with gas/water/energy costs and still make enough capital. I can see something like a mobile deal house, maybe dry raw ket or cut some mandy in there but not grow crap.

Drugs does not equal cop buff. The reason people do drugs in games is because punishment.  Proper punishment should be handed out for drug busts ... n0t just 20 seconds in a jail...

My question is more meant for the HL timeline as we could be jumping far ahead in or before freeman leaves the mesa facilities.

I am really unsure
