General Discussion / Re: Purple is Leaving.
« on: May 26, 2012, 10:47:02 PM »
My mouth is open, and my buttox is ready. Let's get it steamy in the Steam.

But seriously, Purpe, I'll tell you what I just told you in Steam to try and seem cool in-sorts and raise my post count. You're a well-rounded individual, me and you both share a similar experience that's pretty horrid on each spectrum, but we're bound like brothers together in such a short amount of time that it's absolutely crazy. I love you, and yes, I mean this full-heartedly in a homosexual way because who the fridge cares.

He served in '72.

^ He's trying to steal my light. PM me, me, me! But yeah, what's up and welcome to this wonderful nesting community named 'CG.' Watch out, by the way. It's mating season.

Y'ello Nomand. Pleasure to meet you, even though we've known each other for about six months and you're a huge stalker.

Will-do. It isn't really that long; however. The time-period. Currently... most people who served in Vietnam right now are in their 40's (late) and 50's.

Denied Authorizations / Jimmy Elliote's Authorization Application

Player Section

Steam Name: Nick
Age: 23 years of age.
How long have you been Roleplaying? (can be any game): I would say about six years over a span of twenty-five communities.
How long have you been playing Serious GMod RP?: My estimate... roughly three years?

Character Section

Authorization(s):
-A [Former] member of the CIA's S.O.G. Operational Division during the Vietnam-era and war.

-This is simply for my character being able to give off stories of the old 'days.' He may however, retain some trade-sets as followed:

1. Intellectuality regarding pyschological evaluation and mentality fitness; with physical reactions basing.
2. Knowledge. The knowledge of simply being able to say he's an old-salt, wisey. Extensive understanding of M.O.S. Codes and military-evaluatives, as well as legislation and political databasing.
3. Obviously as the S.O.G. suggests and the Vietnam-era, he's served under the basis of the United States Army during the '60's to '70's... He held the rank of First-Lieutenant with prior OCS training and basics in Navigations, Naval-Science, ROTC conditioning and his various extenses as a Senior-Operational Agent in the CIA. I.E.

His ranks
--------------

United States Army: First-Lieutenant, Senior-Officer, O-02. (1LT.)
CIA/S.O.G. Programm: Senior-Operational Agent, Contracting Officer. (SO-A.)

4. An ability or familiarity with firearms. However, nothing larger then a pistol, most-likely a Colt-1911 or M9F2 would he fair very well with, due to the country's weapons manufacturing line at the time. He's also familiar with carbines and spring-loaded bolt weapons, such as: The early variant of an M16 (B.) and M14-C. Rifle.

Name: Nigel Thornberry. (I couldn't resist, apologies.) His actual name: James A.K.A. Jimmy Elliote
Age: I would say between roughly 45-55.
Gender: Male
Affiliation: None

Write a detailed in-canon back-story how your character obtained these authorizations.
// W.I.P. Story is being written in document.

What will these authorizations give your character in regards to perks or defects?
Perks
-Intellectuality of mental fitness. (Or knowing the human nature regarding interrogations, torture and evaluative pyschology.)

-A service record that's rather well decorated (In-Character of course.) regarding being able to say he's "been there; done that." and improve a general out-look of roleplay with hopeful passive.

-Vague understanding and ability to use side-arms and small caliber weapons, such as, M1911's, M9F2's and various Makarov-9mm. PP-2's. Anything that's below 7 inches, really.

-And to add with the pistols, only two forms of 'higher grade' weapons: M16 (B.) and the later-variant of an M14-C Carbine, spring-match rifle.

Defects
-I doubt this would take much effect with the current state of being; and I'll be honest. The CCA in an 'IC' look, would want him dead, for a fairly obvious reason however it was only during his dog-days he served, retired at the moment, he is.

-He's at that age. Faulty spines, and canes. Obviously he's not doing arobatics, but I mean... maybe we can go 'Sam Fisher' style if he's in his mid-forties.

-During his experiences in his dog-days, he's... well... he's picked up various forms of depression, of that guilt or hate that concurs. He has a rather mild-tonage of PTSD that required some medical provance to assist with, however he's rather well at keeping it toned down. He does have trauma.

-I wish for him to have in his lower-torso, an older lodged casing that was unable to be surgically removed, and so, gives him a constant belance of pain.

What do you plan to do with these perks/defects?
Can't be too sure. Have a party, maybe.

I kid, I kid. Er... well, create a hopefully well-passive environment. He's not Resistance nor Civil-Authority however each side will sway him towards his ultimate fate. What I plan to do really is increase the bonds and show people, "You don't need to be a 24 year old Soap McTavish with a mohawk who can use every weapon out there and kills for a living; but was ex-NSA/Delta Force, SPF, SEAL, e.t.c." and instead bring an older light to a man who's deeply troubled in a pestering world, that reflects against his older-lived memories of love, of peace, and of the hate, the war, the violence and his nightmares regarding it.

Who's haunted by his choices in the past, and pride that was drained and traded for a fake silver medal, over his friend's lives. Witnessing critical events in our history and constrewed emotions that base his personality-esque. Someone who has emotion and simply wishes to tell his story. His side.

Will anyone else need these auths? (If so, list OOC and IC name(s))
Nick, NICK and Nicky.

Which server does this apply for?
City

Extra Notes (optional):
I'm a First-Lieutenant in the Marine Corps' and I'm able to actually bring to light the real-facts correctly. I know what he would be feeling; as I've actually felt it myself. You can see I was feelin' it there.

One night, my father fucked my mother. My mother was probably screaming, "Cum in me baby!" and a'las... nine months later, this little mutant of a baby popped out. They named it Nick. 18 years later he began as UnclePaws on Steam, due to a Vietnam-esque love and he was joining the military. Well, now at 21 he named himself Graw, for no absolute reason and after witnessing hate, and hate, and hate. He decided to spice it up with some love. Nick, was 'reborn' and changed his name to Nick, and Nick32, and N1CK32 (Dead Space 2 Multi.) and then added a <3 at the end for da' love.

Well, today's been an...extrodinary day, to put it in terms. I've-... I've seen my first load of heavy fighting, both street and canal side, only day one in this department and I'm already bumped up to 04. I don't feel I deserved it, not at all. I woke up this morning, the usual drill hit me over the head. Running until I was shaking, being dipped in cold water, then finally, a'las we got to chow time. By then, I couldn't care to eat much, I felt too nautious. Close to an hour or two afterwards, I seen a Recruit being pummeled heavily by the Divisional-Leader of APEX, his words virtaully peeling at the unit's layer. It-... it didn't feel right to just sit back and watch, so, I attempted to stake the blame off him, saying I was the one to discharge my weapon inside the Nexus, yet... it didn't work. It costed me latrine duty, sometimes things happen for a reason, hm? I made an attempt, and gave it my all. Afterwards, I felt like a joke to the three higher command symb-...four, actually, my bad-...*Sssttt...*-...r-...ea-...'l-...a'-...-...*Sssttt.*

Hm--ah, yes... better. As I was saying, felt-deluded, in ways, infront of the Divisional, both the Commanders and their Officer. But, I soon found that I in ways, proved myself. Actually, it was no less than an hour later that we came under rioting, the Divisional, I believe... 32-- something? Happened to pick me to move with his two units. A great sensation of pride overcame me. It soon perished however. I know I'm a unit, and I do feel resent for not being one of the more... knowledgable. My skill-set and recovery training was extremely limited and propagandized, exposing only Union wants and needs that Commanders and higher officials would care for.

No indepentation as for all. I, however, find that I am, indeed a little luckier, and more...attained, to this knowledge. Or I hope to believe so. The moment I took that dive through the hatch, and lifting my baton, I felt that sensation of invincibility. Of power. That I am a lethal weapon, but once we hatched on the steet. It became apparent, it was just false convinction. Uni-... men, good... good, stern-men-...human men, died that perishable hour. Brothers, of mine. It runs deep for most, I do wish, I could have myself been human. For I feel as if... I am leaving out on something. It's being held back. It's playing with your head-in ways. But, back on the topic, we had two main key objectives. Push back the riots and protesting group, on the southern side of the plaza, was my target, 183's team took the tunnels of District-2. Included in my squad was a, what I hope to think, now dear friend of mine. A pretty brave Elite-Unit, named '091' ...he's a crack that one.

I felt resent and sadness... in the lose of citizens-...I felt like a-a... human being. I-...I need a moment. G'hm. Apologies. I've found that I'm more sensitive than my counterparts in manners. In the honor, of those dead down there, we took both objectives and wrapped them up. We fell in-line down in the Training-Facility. Once up, I was called out, along with another unit, both him and I were promoted by the Sectorial, he himself. I at first refused, I truly feel it's not my place. My first taste of a bloody riot, and I-... I have to witness the death of those important to me? Of innocent lives taken with fuge, or care? No--... no... I will not accept this promotion, but it was that... or death. Why-...just-... more.  It's getting to be rather late, however. This is 29-...I believe it was '8'...signing off. G'night.

Nick, please for the love of god change the way your DvL acts. In all my years of working with the MPF/CCA on community's, you are the second I have met to have a DvL that acts like a 5 year old. You do not go around petting vortiguants or doing cocaine. I have quite frankly seen enough of the shit. People literally now ICly discuss about you and the cocaine shot. DvLs are highly augmented and transformed to the point were they have no opinions on anything nor do they have feelings... They just do it. I really suggest you do not go around and do the stupid shit.

Now you're playing with fire, Purple. Take a step back, and leave my unit out of it publically. If you want to criticise, my Steam's always there. He didn't do a cocaine shot, that's extremely retarded. No... that situation is completely misunderstood. Alright, I called a guy 'bro'... sue me? Sue. Me. I've about had enough dealing with everyone, and he's not some fluffy Vortigaunt petter. He gave it a pat on the back. And he's not brainwashed.

Really... just don't go there. Please. I've done nothing wrong to warrant.

I'm still rather positive regarding this, but Sheo makes a great point as others stated. You could be an 01, and a charmer... I mean... my Divisional-Leader is a pretty nice guy. Then again, he isn't brainwashed.

On-the-fence, however, I am still going to refrain my vote as of now and simply keep up with the discussion. Try to add in here and there, but to summarize how I feel. I don't know; this can work and I would be fine with it happening, but it has a bit of a soft... vibe. See, I may, roleplay, a caring and soft character myself. But that's my character. No-no, I feel the Civil-Authority should be more paramilitaristic, because it is. When you think about what units have, compared to modern day officers, it's an entire-grade up. You have SMG's, sidearms, ballistic-vests and high-grade riot gear, zipties (something SWAT uses, and Special-Forces.) I'd see them as a combination of SWAT and a sort of PMC. Because in a way; they are.

By this happening... you've basically put a bucket on our heads with the label 'Lieutenant Tibbles.' It just gives a bit more of a gateway to stupidity. Then again... look at some of our own units. I'm not trying to be harsh or anything. I'm good either-way. I'll adapt if it happens to change, and I may not like it the most...

But majority votes. Oh well.

Suggested Rank Design:

RCT--->Recruit, an acceptee into the CCA. They will be responsible for attending recruit training sessions and can report to Lance Corporals for advice or mentoring.

05--->Officer, the basic police officer, entry-level rank after recruit training is complete.

04--->Officer, First Class, an Officer who has been recognized for merit in duty.

03--->Lance-Corporal, recognized for experience and excellence in duty. They are who the newbies look up to. (This I would change to: Lance-Officer.)
02--->Corporal, the Sergeant assistants. One per Sergeant. They will be training the majority of the time. (You can use Corporal Or. Supervisor.)

01--->Sergeant, Chief NCO who polices the units in his or her division. Their experience makes them the ones lower ranks look up to for mentoring and training. Two per specialized division, four in the main sociostability body.

OfC--->Lieutenant, one per Specialized Division (as Lieutenant Chief Officers) and three in the main sociostability body.

DvL--->Captain, one per division, acting as the leaders of the division.

CmD--->Major, XO who acts as the chief supervisor of the Civil Protection Police Force. (I would change this to: Superintendent.)
SeC--->Police Commissioner/Police Chief/Chief Superintendent, commands the Civil Protection.

Either way, I stand on this the following way: It's a game, and I'm here to enjoy it. You can change a system around, you keep it the same. You can wipe a division, you can leave it be. But you need to physically implement yourself with devotion in-order to get something kicked arise out of it. To people who are a bit moped on this; there's two types of people in this world. Those in the first group, and those in the second group.

The first group has a glitter of hope in their eyes that tells them things will turn out simply fine, and that no-matter the odds, they keep strong arms out for change, and open hearts. They have faith, and they trust, and they overcome what will be throttled their way. They see things positively.

The second group is on their own, they have fear for the future and what changes it will bring. Everything that's a potential and isn't a positive-positive is turned down and salted over, they're afraid, and they fear. They have no faith, and they believe they can only trust themselves. They feel it will fail from the start.

Are you group number one or two?

I see this as a miracle of oppurtunity; and a bunch-bag-of-fun.

I'd just need a bit more details before I could vote. Combine Nation was funny. It made me piss my pants quite literally, and my Divisional-Leader 298 is one of the most kind, human, units you will find. Treat everyone like a brother, is his motto. But off that. I actually don't know? I loved Combine Nation, I'd do that. But I'd also like to keep it due to well... I don't exactly see what--... like... I don't know how this will operate. Further uh... you know, details needed.
