Basically a board where we can post quick questions/things that are to short to start up a thread, thing is, it won't go towards your post count so you cant get in trouble for shit posting because its just a simple question/thing that needs to be said. Now I'm sure you're all going to say "omg just use shoutbox", well I would if it wasn't spammed with a bunch of shitty shouts. Important ones just fall through the cracks. Having a board designed for those important shouts/things that need to be said but are not worthy of a full on thread would be useful. It can't be THAT hard to make a new board. I couldn't imagine it taking more than 5 mins.
I'd also like to add that in the board that I'm suggesting there would be no pornographic material allowed whatsoever. It IS NOT some spam redux. This is a completely different board with a completely different meaning.

Anyways, if you guys want to suggest a spam board, go make a thread about it. The board I'm suggesting IS NOT SPAM OR A SPAM REMAKE

can we please just make a sermi serious fast threads board where people can make threads for a simple question or a thread showing a funny video or the semi forum game fun type threads like rate this avatar and shit, it'd still have forum rules but just less serious posts + no post counts

yes pretty much this. you see id like to ask some simple questions towards the cg community but they are not deserving of a thread and i dont want to get in trouble for shit posting.

delete your post right now, if admins/devs hear anything about spam they will insta deny this suggestion. i know you mean good but pls, its going to happen.

Lets stick with semi serious and not spam or 18+ board. Yeah... I don't see the big harm in. As long and theres not shit posts and most of the forum rules are still followed with the exception of a few rules that can be ignored.

I think the reason Cow made this thread was the recent MLP thread in the Table Talk board. It obviously wasn't a topic on social/political issues, so it didn't belong there. However, it didn't belong anywhere else as the forum rules state somewhat vaguely that MLP topics have no place here. Though I'm not quite sure what other topics would fit in this "Quick Thread" board, the idea itself has some merit.

I still think a fast threads kind of board would be nice to have. That way, people could post stuff like videos, funny chats, quick questions, forum games, etc. Just keep the majority of forum rules so people don't do stupid shit like they did in spam

A select group of admins don't need anymore of a reason to want to shoot this idea down. As for my opinion, it is still for this idea. We need a semi-serious board for thread games and stupid questions.

Of course you would miss spam, abbott. The stuff you used to post still makes me sick.
I would support the idea, hell, I think that I've seen boards like that on other communities with minimal amounts of abuse.

pretty sure it was because of people using it to flame others and get away with it, and it did say Spam (18+), so why you are complaining about anything adult in a 18+ board i have no idea
EDIT: anyway, i still wouldnt mind seeing Spam (18+) return as long as additional rules were put in place such as not using it to flame/abuse others and think they can get away with it etc

The board was deleted because people were using it for the wrong ideas and it caused drama not just in spam but other places as well.

Yes, indeed. Even though it said not to take it out of spam, people still did. And others abused that fact by simply going to far. Hence it was removed.
I personally wish spam was how it used to be. Aka "Random silly threads, or post_your_X_Here or any kind of forum game thread." Not "Flame and bully everyone you can because it isn't against the rules anyway" threads.
That is why I support some kind of "fast thread" board where GOOD but unserious threads can be posted without raising your post count. And garbage threads like pure bullying kept out.

UHH I have an idea...I know this may sound crazy to many of you at CG who have been here a long time...but I really think this would work...What if admins did their job and banned the people who broke rules? I know, crazy right.

I agree with Cow. This thread is to discuss a quick question board whose premise is completely different from spam. If you wish to present a thesis on why spam should be brought back, make your own thread.

technically it is a sort of spam replacement that hes suggesting, and i was putting my idea into this that it should be a spam with a bit more rules added like ive said in previous posts
so id still rather see the spam + few extra rules than a "quick questions" board

I just want to make it very clear that this is not in any way shape or form another spam remake. The whole purpose of this suggestion is for those posts that don't fit in shoutbox but don't fit in a thread. This is the middle ground essentially. People won't get in trouble for shitposting, and they can have a serious discussion about something.

It'd be nice to post funny shit in an actual board then the shoutbox where it often gets flooded and lost by a debate or something.
