OCRP has come a long way in Orange Cosmos, now it is given to catalyst gaming. Ever since, GMR, HRP, hell even FORTwars was just thrown away i seconds. I wouldn't remove the gamemode if i was Rofl, but if i have an unused server, i would obviously just cancel the servers out if nobody likes playing on them anymore.

I believe that the GMR, HRP, and OCRP servers should stay, still not sure about Death race, depends how many people play on it.
I agree, the unused servers may just be sucking up money and energy.

The only servers that get filled regularly is HL2RP and OCRP. OCRP may be bringing CG more money and players etc, but at the expense of killing off about 3 gamemodes, 1 of which is our own.

Yeah, his statement was very off. It was no where near "given".
Anyway, in my opinion, we should get rid of all of the servers besides OCRP, HL2RP, and GMR. Since we have CGRP coming soon, HRP is worthless.

Yeah ocrp is fun at all, but yeah, come to face the facts, its killing off the other gamemodes. And of course all OC people are going to be like 'hurr who cares it get moneys'.

We're not going to let OCRP lay to rest. OC was stupid enough to do it and let the gamemode die, but people eventually craved for more after. We've done too much to let it all go.

Done to much to let it go? You mean put up a server with an already-set-up script that costed $500? With hl2rp, we had to organise all the cca faction, including formats, divisions, units, maps, characters, etc. Harbor... Wasnt pretty much all the scripting done by our team? That kind of stuff involves creativity and work. Ocrp was already set up...

Getting $500 is a lot more hard work for a 15 year old than it is to set up divisions for a gamemode.

The only time I can get players on HRP is when OCRP is down. It seems nobody is interested in a revival event besides one or two players. I'm supposed to try to revive HRP, but not many people seem to care. OCRP is completely destroying HRP. It has slightly impacted HL2RP, and Fortwars is just empty most of the time. Nobody plays on GMR.
I agree with Tittles. Even though it has brought in more "resources," we all know it is killing off the gamemode(s) that CG was FOUNDED ON.

The reason fortwars is empty is because its new and to be honest its a shite gamemode.
I would like GMR to be much more populated as its a very fun gamemode. With CGRP that OCRP will be the main gamemodes I reckon.

I would hope not HL2RP is Fun for when you just wanna get away from nothings have have some actually role play. many times a few of us have just sat in an apartment telling stories about getting into fights with the combine etc

Im pretty sure its a DarkRP edit, but its pretty fun.

I never said it wasn't a DarkRP edit. It being a complete piece of shit however, is untrue.

I kinda agree with bullet.
I really enjoyed my time in HRP, HL2RP and GMR when all those servers where nearly full the whole day. Now, both HRP and GMR are empty 25/7, and HL2RP only gets filled around American timezones. Only OCRP is filled 24/7, which is just shit.

I feel reviving HRP will be impossible in its current state. Rofl may have given me an impossible job. There is no way it can compete with OCRP. Before OCRP came, everything was great- HRP and HL2RP had a large amount of players.
I have been trying to get people interested in it. I thought I had suceeded when I helped get 7 people on HRP, but then I realized that it was only because both OCRP and HL2RP were down. When they came back up, the server was empty once again.

Darth did not want to carry on with the community for a good reason. (just mentioning this line is blatently obvious)
Jake can't constantly work on the gamemode, as he was actually studying for his exams and needed to focus on school, Jake solely worked on the gamemode when Noobulator left it to focus on his IRL situation as well, also relating to his education, eventually other gamemodes like GMR and TTT were dying because it gets broken mainly due to the updates on GMod.
I find it very sad that the majority of people (not naming names) in this thread does not realise (or respect) the actual situation the owners were in.

IMO, OCRP is taking away from the main servers CG was founded on. HL2RP is my favorite gamemode of all time, and I'm not going to judge OCRP because I haven't played it, nor will I ever.
But yes, OCRP is stealing the other servers. I look at the servers page almost every day and whaddya know, HRP: 0 GMR: 0 Fortwars: 0 HL2RP: 7-21 OCRP: 40/40.
And, with the dawn of CGRP, HL2RP may disappear, which if that happens, I will have to sadly resume my Russian Roulette ride around the internet for the search of a good HL2RP community.

Damn right it won't, however, OCRP, from my observation, looks to straight-up killing the Good servers, like HL2RP. HRP is okay, from my experience. Also, Evocity is a cancer to immersive maps, as opposed to holly jolly daytime city, so, you know, I don't like it.
